YB: It has become explanatory on my part to explain to you the secret of cause and... Who causes the cause and who receives the action? It is the purity of the mind and it's the elevated consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
. For worldly people who are sensual and who give importance to the five TattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. The final five tattvas are called the gross elements and have the phasic qualities and relationships of ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
, "Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth." In between all these five there is a living being called consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
, we are attached to this consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
through ego and we do like certain people, we wish them they should live long, they do good for us, they have done good for us, and we hope they will do good for us. But these are the basic theories of different religions who have expounded the path of reality if you deeply look into the path of the Sikh, this path is very, very together path. The path, which cannot be described by any other person. It's a path of the Jeevan Mukt, liberated while alive.
And when one chooses the life of a martyr, what more can be said to that that one can find his own way of going from this Earth into the blessed self without any pain on one's own part disconnecting one self from the TattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. , from the relationship of the ego through these TattvasTattvas

and purify this simplest self into the light of the soul and leaving to the heavenly abode with no scratch of feeling left for this planet. Such death amazes us. It's meant to be. It astonishes. And this astonishment sometime tests our faith, do we believe in God and GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
or do we believe if this would have not happened, if that would not have happened. I wonder to tell you something even if I would have known this is there any power in an individual to change the altered path of the Saint who has decided to go in one way? Does that compensate for one's own power of purification? Is it possible? I wonder and I am asking you a question.
Is it possible that a person who has purified himself so much in such a short while, who has glorified his consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
beyond time and space, is it possible to hold him back, ask him to pay KarmaKarma
The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action.
? I don't understand that it is possible for us living beings to even reach to that consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
. If you literally understand our ways we are very earthbound and we always deal like business people 'what is the benefit of this, what is the loss because of this, how it can happen this way, why it cannot be that way?' Our if and buts are so heavy that in spite of the fact we practice we preach, we pray, we feel very much perplexed on the idea of death. It shatters us. Because it causes a gap. What happened, the story was there was a pub and lot of people used to go to that pub to drink and ultimately they made a company. So seven-eight-ten of them will go every evening and have a drink and do what people do after doing the... drinking themself too much.
One day one person out of them simply decided he is not going to drink, he is not going to go to pub and he is free. So when that evening came people all gathered together, there was a one seat empty, they all started what happened to him, he was the best person. He used to over drink everything and still never used to lose his sense. Somebody said he used to give us all jokes, who will crack jokes in his place. The bartender said he was the best giving me the tip, who will give me that tip. They were all discussing what was concerned to them nobody was concerned that he is not becoming alcoholic and he has just left this habit and he has quitted this and he has freed himself. I am giving you very basic, earthly example, which comes in the scripture.
We look at life differently, a attorney will look at death differently, a doctor will look at death differently, a man of Earth will look at death differently, wife and children will look at death differently, but just think how consciously a consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
will look at this death. That will look like this. One has come, one has adapted the technology, one has purified oneself, one has done his KarmaKarma
We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action.
, and one has quitted this life of cause and effect and has escaped into the dignity of the destiny onto Infinity. Just look at this, how peaceful it is. Is it peaceful this way or it is peaceful to have fever, cough along, rugged along, going and going and going and going and doing the life. Reason of life today is that we are unable to accept that we have to leave. We are young. It is good to be young. And once you do everything possible on this Earth to live as long as one can live to serve God.
But there is a possibility on Earth that some souls can mature themself faster than we think, therefore it is obligatory that when the call comes from God and one answers the call, one merges in that consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
, we who are on this Earth should try to understand what is BanaBana
, Baana
One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness.

is the will of God, we have been trained differently, our backgrounds are different. We have been told different things. We have been told lot of circumstantial things such as the angels will decide whether we will go to the heaven or to the hell one day we will be asked to get up and then the angel will pronounce our judgment we all will resurrect, and before the prophet our accounts will be taken care of and then we will be committed to hell and heaven according to our action. In the hell there will be a fire, we will be roasted, we will be pierced, we will be beaten up, we will be doing lot of painful thing, in heavens there will be young girls dancing for us, milk and honey will be flowing. I just wonder in that heaven if you go as a hypoglycemic what will happen to you.
(Sangat laughs)
I deeply wonder, now this is in the scripture, I am not adding a thing from my side. Now if that kind of heaven first we have to wait such a long time, the prophet will come; we will resurrect (?) and beside, suppose he makes a decision all right so and so you go to the heavens. Now how much you can live on milk and honey if you are hypoglycemic. So these imaginary heavens and hell and these fear complexes in our life are such a boredom to the human life that we lose the sight of reality. Reality my friend is the five TattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. The final five tattvas are called the gross elements and have the phasic qualities and relationships of ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
are combined with the power of ego and these five TattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. when are combined with the power of ego, allow the soul of God given fraction to live in it and observe the play. Now, in this play there is a path, path of dignity. Dignity is a way to Divinity. Try to understand this will help you. Dignity is a way to Divinity and Divinity is a way to Infinity.
Now this has to be totally understood, whether you belong to any religion or you are a non-religious person, theist or atheist, it doesn't matter. People who live with dignity, people who live with dignity also know how to live in Divinity. They are very correlated. People who are flirtatious who speculate, who are not willing to pay the price for the dignity, who enchant themself with the falsehood of the MayaMaya
The creative power of the Creator that restricts and limits. It creates the sense of limitation that leads us to identify with experience, the ego, and things. Because of this it is often thought of as the illusion that blocks us from the spirit. But, as Guru Nanak (see Sikh Gurus) reminds us, you need not be attached to the productions of maya. Instead they can be used to serve and express the higher consciousness and spirit. Maya is simply Karta Purkh, the doing of the Great Being. Maya takes the ineffable into the realm of the measurable.
of this world doesn't matter what they pretend, they have not even understood the taste of dignity and they cannot even touch Divinity. But people who are calm, sober, saintly, do their job are sweet and humble, but very firm, very constant, you can't shake them. They are very pure. You cannot destroy them, they are very radiant, you cannot darken them. These kind of people are very saintly. Though they look very earthly, they choose their way of going from this Earth. I can understand the philosophy of merits and demerits. I can understand the philosophy of cause and effect.
But when I was told on telephone that it is a emergency call and Gurumer has hurt himself or he has been hurt by that accident I never talked back to I think Wahe Wahe Guru

down on the sofa and I relaxed. I didn't call him because there was nothing to call. Now we can speculate. We can talk about it because we cannot experience to that height, we cannot reach our understanding to that understanding. Now if you tell a three year old child this is a diamond, this is a thousand dollar carat, he will never understand what you are talking about, he doesn't understand what is the difference between this stone and that stone and why you don't call this stone diamond and why you call that stone diamond? And what it means to him? Whether you say this is a thousand dollar carat and this is no dollar a carat he doesn't bother about it. Perhaps if you make him a choice he may leave the diamonds and he will pick an ordinary stone. This is what we earthly people do not understand.
"Dukh Daaru Sukh Rog Peya Jey Sukh Thaam Na Hoiee."
In pain only people can understand what this world is about. If you want to know the price of hand you should know from the person who has no hands. He can tell you the best. If you can know the price of the eyes then only the person who does not have the eyes can explain to you what eyes mean to a person. Exactly as Sikhs we can explain the death, death we can explain better than anything else because death to us is a life. Death is not a horror and death is not, which will bring us to judgment. Death is not which will cause us pain. Death is doing our job and quitting with a clear account, that's all is death to us.
We are not going to be judged, we are not guruless, we are not guideless, we are not who have no identity, a Sikh is the one who has created the identity with the God and GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
to begin with therefore path is simple. How more glorified a death can be than the death of a martyr. There was no gain to him, there was no loss of him, he was doing it a Panthic SevaSeva
Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other.
, serving the path, serving the mission and one day he was sitting and cleaning the rifles under that tree and I said, "Gurmer, I never thought you knew so much good of riflery."
And he looked at me and he said, "I have found something perhaps, which can liberate me" and I jokingly said, I said, "Don't get liberated fast, clean the rifles well."
And I walked away thinking what he is going go through. Going through and thinking does not satisfy. On Earth it is a great loss. It is my state of affair is like a gardener, who has worked hard and planted a garden. And nature comes and picks up the best flower out of it and I have to sit down and watch the action. You can well understand my state of mind. And over and above this I am supposed to replace that plant again. You can understand this pain only if you are right into the field but on the second side of the coin I am satisfied and I smiled that at least we were worthy to raise a garden out of which God picked up what He likes the best. We could offer Him the most purified soul. The feeling is a mixed feeling in both ways and you can speculate either side.
When BhaiBhai
Brother.
Dayal Singh died, it was a shock. When Gurumer left his body it was a shock but on the other side if you look through my eyes, that what a wonderful seedling we have done, which could create such a purified flowers even the nature of Almighty God fell in love and picked out of this garden the best it could offer it if you look with a universal being who has the habit of giving then it is just a humble offering at the altar of the path, which should purify us and we should pursue it without negativity. We should understand that we have sacrificed a saintly life just learning the self-defense because we have never cared to learn. Because we are not learned because we are trying to refuse to learn.
Once somebody was asked a question, when Jesus Christ could do all those miracles, why couldn't he miraculously escape and could have preached for longer years. That was the question. Now I'll leave it here because Jesus Christ lives more than a hundred years after crucification. And his grave tomb is in Kashmir still where his tribe lived and all that, but Catholic Church is such a strong lobby they don't want to let that whole thing come out. But question was very simple, why he did not escape the crucification when he could walk on the water? Somebody with a consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
replied what his crucification did his life could not have done. It arouse among people the spirit. They refused to live in the apathy and pity of that tragedy. They got up as human beings. They learnt to live as human beings, they raised their consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
and they became perfect.
And history shows that in three hundred years the Roman Empire fell before Christians. The blood of the martyr never goes waste, it creates spirit. The offering of the self, which Baba Dayal Singh has done at least it has put everybody to shame. You can imagine a hippie boy not knowing a thing about anything walks in at the age of fifteen, just imagine, think over it very clearly, he dies at twenty-one. Ten million people bows to him in reverence. They accept him as the greatest man. They receive him and respect him as the best religious person on this Earth ever they could produce. Can anybody match those five years? There is a some soul, which just leaves a mark for everybody to ponder over and to wonder. Here we are sitting for years and years and years hanging around our unconscious ego, making lame excuses, lazy by habit, not willing to put ourself to our best at all, wasting our life and we have got two billion excuses to excuse ourself from any righteous act and comparatively on the other side there is a man who walked in and learned everything. And look at his sacrifice.
His father told him one day that I'll endorse my entire boutique business; they are very rich family, to you. If you just not wear this YarmulkaYarmulka
Skullcap worn by members of the Jewish faith.
on the head. That was the only one condition and his reply was a wondrous reply. He said you give me the entire planet and beyond, and you order me like a God my head belongs to the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
I'll save it to the best of my protection and energy. And today when he left his body, his father came and he told me, he said, "I never wonder out of me a Saint can be born. All my life I never recognized him" but now on this memorial service he said, "I have understood that what a higher conscious person he was."
Today we wonder whether we are willing to learn the lesson. I think in memory this is a great lesson how calmly, quietly serving the mission with a smile. Many of you serve the mission, I don't say not but also you stink a lot. But look there is a person. A example and also there is a living example his wife. When she was told the news that this is God's will she accepted with such a grace I have never seen a person doing that way. Well, there is a obligation to the entire Panth to take care of his child and to take care of her. GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
may give us help and wisdom and dignity so that we may fulfill the job of this destiny. History when will be written it will write these pages in very golden words. But this is a day for all of us to understand deeply in our heart that humanity has reached the cross roads. You have the right to choose either way.
And if we choose to live righteously and walk on the path of truth then we should not waste our time in gossips and in negligent acts of ego. We should adapt our behavior in a way to commemorate these sacrifices by learning well, by becoming learned people. I wonder if you will be ready for the years, which are to follow, I really wonder. My own problem at this time is I am myself in great difficulty I have never been before. I am trying to make these people take over and I want to see that they have now the sense to handle life. But the setbacks I am getting are also very tremendous. But whatever the will of God is that is His will man is too limited to do a thing. And I wonder in these coming years will you be spiritually enough, will you be spiritually enough fulfilled, will you be gracefully enough strong, would you have stopped your degeneration and you have regenerated yourself to that extent that the impact of the coming time you will not be shattered.
Therefore today serving the cause of the Panth and sitting in the presence of the Siri GuruGuru

stand with Gurumehar Singh unto the Infinity and may we all learn from his behavior that selfless, (?), sacrificial situation, that clean service that man could do, just imagine in your prayerful mind in which your meditative moment, imagine that life and see how calm, with what a smile, with what a sobriety, without questioning he was walking on this path. Just think over it, it will not take you long time to imagine.
