... As much time your neurosis take you to be resolved that much death is with you in your life and the process in the scripture is called living dead. You know that? Living dead is an attitude, living dead is you can't perform your performances and you waste your time on all... You know, the example given in the scripture is that of the tree. There is a tree and it has a dead around it, lot of branches are dead, leaves are dead, this and that. So tree is alive, but when a tree is alive and it carries lot of dead branches, any city which has dead ends is not called a good city. Any life which has more dead ends than the connecting roads is not a good life.

We have a process of living dead. Take pressure but take that much pressure under which you cannot be broken. But take that much pressure under which you can be stretched enough. Those who love their neurosis, they do not love their own happiness. To be neurotic is your own loss. It is not the loss of your neighbors, loss of the neighbor is that he cannot deal with you. I have seen in my life people very spiritual, very spiritual and then extremely shitty. I have no better word than that. I have seen people very truthful but extremely judgmental. And I have no loss for that.

Where are you running?

Student: (----).

YB: Bag?

Student: (----).

YB: Oh, let somebody come and take it. When you are going to learn not to leave the class? You come to my class, you sit here. You have to understand that.

The problem and the pain of the neighbor is he cannot deal with you. Problem of your body is the problem of the neighbor. The body cannot be healthy. Problem of your mind is it cannot be healthy. Don't you think that you have problem with your mind? Your mind has a problem with itself. And I don't believe that you should exercise and then pull your muscles and be on the bed and ask people to send you flowers. I don't believe that is exercising and I don't believe that is exercising, talk about exercise all the time. I know one person, every magazine is on exercise, every talk is on exercise, food is exercise. How to chew? Which tooth? At what time? It's abnormality.

Life is mutual. Life is neither below normal; life is never abnormal. Problem with you is you have been trained wrong. You have been trained what you want, you want. What you know you know, that's all it is about. It's not true, what you know nobody else knows. And damn it, you have to deal with somebody else too. Life is not to deal it with yourself alone. Life is a mutual trust and a mutual flow at the mutual time and that is why we talk frequencies. And let us see the efficiency of your brain how it works. Make the movement. Go ahead. Do it, I don't know. Here you go. Do you understand how inefficient you are? How unsmart you are, how pigheaded you are that you cannot pick up a signal? If you are in a war and warship gives you signal, you do not pick up the firing range you will be bombarded and you will be drowned in three minutes.

To be efficient is not a sin. It's a survival technique. One two, one two, three, one... That's all, there is a little trick in it. Follow it. One two, one, one, one, one that's it. Come on, pick it up. I didn't change at all. You think I changed. I do it again, I do it again, I'll do it in-between, come on, hurry up. Now you are thinking. Today you have to work with your brain. Come on, come on, come on. Hey, one two three, one two three, one...

(Students' laughter...)

See how you go. Come on again, try to correct yourself. One two three, one, two, three, one, two, three, that's right. That was wrong. Again, one two three, one two three... Good do it hurry up, hurry up then again the same thing. It is called three-dimensional exercise. It will make you intuitive dummies. You can never do it right until you don't stop thinking about it. Think and you will do it wrong, just do it in routine it will be all right. Let us do it. One two... Come on again, let us do it again. One two three, one two and three... And then come here, then come here, and then go. That's right... That is the only knot in it. Let us do it right, okay, right ones, okay listen, one two, one two... Wait, wait, wait, stop there, that is a stopping, you don't stop there. All right again, one two, one two, and then one two and then one simple and then again here and then again from the very start, one two three four, one two three and that whole thing out. All right, try it again, one two three four, and... five and six and seven and eight and again start again from one.

Student: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

YB: You know what is the defect in it? You want to know? It doesn't complete the cycle. It leaves one behind and you have to work it out as automatic. Yeah.

That's it make this point as a central point. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, good... That's good, keep up. Now you know it. Good. Don't think about it, just do it. But you have to be alert, moment you won't be alert you will be thinking. When you think you are not alert, when you are alert you don't think. I am trying to tell you how the brain works. Five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

That seven is difficult. It is called extraordinary. Now stop it. Up to six it is called ordinary, it's called routine. Seventh movement is extraordinary and it is only the extraordinary situation which frustrates you, because in extraordinary the left horizon and the right horizon have to totally become at the same frequency. Normally the both brains are complete. One is initial, one is projection therefore they are different in frequency all the time. In this exercise at point of seven and eight is extraordinary and it is making you to handle extraordinary, that's why you are cautious and you are confused, that's why you are thinking, you are not trying to think, that's why you are catching rhythm and you are unable to catch, this is called the movement of life. And sometime in your English we call it moving with life, you call it a challenge. Life is not challenge there is no challenge in life. Life moves, moves in and moves out at the same frequency. The idea is you must understand whenever there is extraordinary, whenever there is?

Students: (-----)

YB: It is not an extraordinary challenge, it is not to frustrate you, it is to learn. It is called going on the ladder, when you go on the ladder it is an extraordinary movement, it takes you up. Don't stop. All right again, now one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight good...

Students: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

YB: Let the brain coordinate it. Seven... three... three and seven are extraordinary movements, they are not rhythmic. Stop here now. Now do it way the army does it. When you do three you stand up and sit down, rest you do sitting. Only on three, when your hands go up and with that you all stand up and with that you sit down, but keep the fastness and the rhythm same.

Student: (----).

YB: Right goes on count one, projection, projection, initiation, this is how it is projection-initiation, parallel and again one, two and then perpendicular. It's called perpendicular when you expand, movement three and movement seven are extraordinary movements. Therefore they will ask you to cut the rhythm and anybody when he faces the extraordinary has to cut the rhythm. There is nothing new about it. Okay? Do it the army way now. You will sit in crow pose to do it. Otherwise you can't stand up.

Students: (-----)

YB: Oh, don't worry, it's very ordinary. Ready, all set, okay, set means here, that's your (?) position. Try to do it right, you will find lot of help for you, not for me. All right, go, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, very good...

Students: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

YB: Don't cheat, go up and down like that. Quick, quick, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

One two three four, one two three four...

Come on, come on. One two three four...

Break, break all the sourness. Break it. Three four...

Get it out. Stop, stop, stop, stop.

You have to understand when you go to the cottage or what you call it? The camp or army camp, first camp what you call it?

Students: (-----)

YB: Boot camp? When you go to boot camp everybody is a very ordinary person. Army is a very specialized job because you have to understand one minute delay, one minute not to decide, one minute wrong decision, one minute, one minute of mistake, not only costs you your life, it can cost the entire company, entire regiment, entire brigade, its entire life. There is always saying. For one casualty somebody must have just not done it right. There is no fear of death, people want to go in war and they just want to fight the war. They are into it. There is a nationalism behind it, patriotism behind it, truth behind it, feelings behind it, necessity behind it, call it anything, but fact is they are in it. So what they do in this boot camp? They give you parade. They make you to move, they make you to move in a rhythm and with guts. So what they do? Take an ordinary person, build his guts and build his rhythm. Army is no specialty. Rhythm and guts. Now guts alone will make you criminal, which makes you dictatorial, makes you totally neurotic, guts alone is no good. Guts without rhythm are most dangerous and rhythm without guts is just nonsense. You need two things in life, guts and rhythm and that gives you performance. I talked yesterday for performance, I didn't tell you what can make you achieve performance. Guts and?

YB: You know, in winter you put the logs together, you put the things together, remember in every situation you need guts and you need rhythm. You heard it first time? It's all around the world for a long time. It is the basic survival technique of the performance of every human being. Nobody is superior, nobody is inferior, whosoever has guts and rhythm makes it, who has no guts and rhythm doesn't make it doesn't matter what. Therefore what the neurosis does to you is take away from you the rhythm and give you extra guts. Extra guts is called neurosis. Do you know what neuroses are? Extra guts and minus rhythm. And you know what freak out is? Extra rhythm and minus guts. You understand? You only know the terms, you don't know the definitions. I just want to reach you the definitions. You always know what you know and just know life is mutual. And it's a mutuality between guts and the?

Students: Rhythm.

YB: Within you, around you and ever for you. This is always a question you have to answer.

Okay, now the greatest danger in your life which can possibly be that you can totally act as scenario. Totally act as scenario and not willing to face the consequences. You can totally destroy yourself, totally act as scenario or you totally put up yourself where you don't belong to or totally achieve a life which you don't want to handle. Totally act as scenario in life without absolutely having any base about it. I give you one example; a child wanted to see his mother. He was in children camp, he just fell, he totally acted as scenario he is dead, he can't move. We paid three hundred dollars to bring the ambulance up there at Ram Das Puri bring him down and when in the hospital doctor checked him he was absolutely healthy. He blew up his trust, he blew up the camp money, he blew up everything, he blew up the patience of the mother, he blew up everything, just acted whole thing just to protest. What is rudeness? It is a harsher protest. What is a deceit? It is a protest in action. Everything negative which you perform in life is subconscious protest. Everything. So it is not true, it's not something very serious.

Whenever you are protesting the flow of life you are protesting in one way or the other, you are wasting that part of your life because when you protest, then it has to be worked out mutually and why not to start everything mutually to begin with? Life is?

Students: Mutual.

YB: Performance is based on?

Students: Guts and rhythm

YB: Guts and?

Students: Rhythm.

YB: And what is the secret of all this? How you can achieve it without any hassle? Reverence and communication. Reverence and?

Students: Communication.

YB: Reverence and?

Students: Communication.

YB: Reverence and?

Students: Communication.

YB: From where comes the reverence and communication?

Students: (-----)

YB: From where? Essential part of success is reverence as communication. "Zabaan sheri, mulk geri." If your language is with reverence you can earn the whole world. From where it comes?

Students: (-----)

YB: Faith. And what is faith?

Students: (-----)

YB: Believe. Now write down faith, believe you are alive and believe you are dealing with everything alive. This belief of life is called faith. That's the only faith you have or you can have, everything else is a paraphernalia. To believe you are alive, to believe?

Students: We are alive.

YB: To believe?

Students: We are alive.

YB: Is called faith. When you believe you are alive then you will believe you have to survive and then you believe you will excel and then you believe this and you believe that and then you will add up all the goodies. When you don't believe you are alive, then you will mess up everything. And what makes you believe you are alive? Come on.

Students: (-----)

YB: Breath of life. Say this. "PranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. namNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. YB: All right, pranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. , what it means?

Students: Breath.

YB: Use of the pranaPraana , Prana The universal life force that gives motion. It is the breath in air. It is the subtle breath of the purusha as it vibrates with a psychophysical energy or presence. Praana regulates the modes and moods of the mind. . PranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. . A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. nidhan. And what is third?

Students: Daan ashnaan.

YB: Daan, daan means giving, daan means charity. Ashnaan means taking bath. Not bathing. Not bathing, ashnaan does not mean bathing. Ashnaan does not mean wetting your body. Otherwise you know putting the French bath, putting the perfume is French bath. Easiest, quickest, fastest. Ashnaan means when your capillaries and your body becomes the one. One ashnaan can totally change the entire chemistry of the blood to be basic healthy. One ashnaan. People do in Ganga Ashnaan. What is a Ganga Ashnaan? They dip one thousand or eleven hundred times each day for eleven days, it's a Ganga ashnaan. In that cold ice water, nobody understands the therapy, they think going to Ganges Har, Har, Har... No, this is not true. They go eleven hundred times in that cold water every time, Har Har Gangey, Har Har Gangey do it eleven hundred times man, if you come out, you must be a super angel. And that's Ganga Ashnaan. To go in the Ganges and go dip eleven hundred times putting your hands like this, in and up, in and up and each time they chant, Har Har Gangey, Har Har Gangey, because it's very cold, you got to say something.

(Students' laughter...)

When you go under cold water you say Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. YB: These are six things, six things, six things. Five and one, six. PranaPraana , Prana The universal life force that gives motion. It is the breath in air. It is the subtle breath of the purusha as it vibrates with a psychophysical energy or presence. Praana regulates the modes and moods of the mind. , two words, NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. two words, Daan, Ashnaan, these are the six things of healthy, happy, and holy person. Must believe that you are here to consume the pranas. Not the air. That will give you belief, that will give you whole thing.

It is time up. Hey, we have to do lot today, I don't know what? What we are doing?

YB: Oh, she is a beautiful woman. I like you to understand that. She is pretty. She is fanatically religious and absolutely political. That combination I have never seen, the uniqueness of her is she was the secretary of state, and she was absolutely religious. And she is a good mother. What she did for her son, no woman can do it, nobody. She had a son who is most deformed and I think how many operations have been done and now he is very intelligent, very efficient and quite all right, quite all right. God created humans but she created her son and one can proudly feel proud of her. Dedicated woman, dedicated mother, dedicated politician and dedicated Christian.

Shirley Hooper is nothing but a living dedication. She is an unbelievable woman. Unbelievable. She manages her home, it was spotlessly clean, efficiently decorated, very graceful, I visited that day. I have dealt with her when she was for four years secretary of state, extremely intelligent. Very religious and successful politician. We are promoting her to next election, she should go for lieutenant governor because New Mexico state is the most wonderful state, you can only go to an office once and then you have to have an equal break and then you can fight election again. You cannot go on and on. So that's the way New Mexico wants it, that's the way it is. But I want to tell you and second thing I am going to call the lieutenant governor Mendergon you know, I am going to invite him too one day to be with you. Man who is a friend of the poor, who feels and sings for people. True Mexican spirit, true, he is American though but very loving.

You do not know what reverence does. I was in Mexico City, an old lady came, she was very sick, doctor told her you are going to live only six months. She said, "I don't believe you."

So somehow she found out I am in the town. She saw me, she came, she kneeled down, she said, "Heal me, heal me, just touch me..."

I said, "What's wrong with you?"

She said, "Don't worry about that, don't worry, no, no, heal me, touch me, touch me..."

After three days she came to me, she said, "Bless you, bless you, bless you..."

I said, "What happened?"

She said, "I am healed, I told you, just touch me, I'll be healed. You should know it."

And I asked, I said, "Check it out!"

They said, "Yeah, she is okay."

Nobody knows why and I don't know either. Yeah. That's called pranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. , taking the pranaPraana , Prana The universal life force that gives motion. It is the breath in air. It is the subtle breath of the purusha as it vibrates with a psychophysical energy or presence. Praana regulates the modes and moods of the mind. . She said just touch me, all I need your touch, give me your hand. She actually forced my hand and put it on her forehead and she told me, "That's it, that's it, I am healed, I am healed, don't worry, don't worry, it's okay, okay, nothing don't worry about anything."

And it's true that she was seriously ill and she was terminally ill. That's true. That's pranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. . That's the route of the reverence because God gave you breath of life, you must give Him appreciation for it. That is what human life is about, pranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. . Say it again.

YB: You know I don't mean to create any jealousy among those who love me, but it was that moment of life I was lying down and I was not well that day and I started talking and what I said is, I said, "There is a long to teach and lot to teach and I am going away and it is not right."

And somebody said to me very politely, he said, "Right and wrong let God decide, you decide you teach."

Then I said, "Okay."

And today sitting before you I feel very apologetic. I never told you the real fundamental basic meaning of 3HO. It's not healthy, happy, and holy, there is a basis to that, without those basis you cannot be healthy, you cannot be happy and you cannot be holy, but I know you want to be healthy, you want to be happy and you want to be holy, otherwise you would not have been here. I want to be forgiven for this failure. But I am glad I can tell you today. God gave you breath of life, you give God gratitude for it. God gave you?

Students: Breath of life.

YB: And you give? You know what you give God?

Students: (-----)

YB: You don't, complaints. You are right. See, she is getting better. PranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. ?

Students: NaamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. nidhaan, daan ashnaan.

YB: All right, we will meditate and we will finish in five minutes exact.

Side B

Yogiji chants...

(The class chants)

YB: Now this is the vibratory. The Om in the end you have to say through the conch of yourself.

Hey, are you finding somebody? Where are you? What's wrong with her? I found her. You got to go to kitchen, good, she is gone.

I'll say "Ong kar nirankar, nirankar onggggggg..."

Please continue...

(Chanting continues...)

YB: (Over chant) it's the best pranayamPraanayam , Pranayam , Pranayaam Regulated breathing patterns or exercises. . Onggggggg... Breath must come through nose. And I love you, tonight when I come to the class the first chand, first, it is called 'Mangala Charan,' God has never been praised in a more beautiful way than in that Mangala Charana of Jap Sahib. I want you to learn it by heart. It is in Sanskrit. It's not in Punjabi or Gurmukhi. It is in absolute Sanskrit. And it is one language of the Sanskrit where GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. has totally (?) the God. And I want all of you to understand that Mangala Charan is powerful enough to see God in person. It's a key to personal God. I want to tell you that. If you can rotate it right, you can fix God, you can open Him up to you. Do you remember it?

Student: (----).

YB: First. No, no, namustang is that is praise the Lord. This is personification of the God. Do you know that? Sing it.

(Students sing...)

YB: Yeah, we have to make a tape from this tape of the first of it. Over and over and over and over, we have to go through it. And that is the tape, that is one... Yeah, it should start from here.

(The tape is played in the class...)

YB: (Over tape) (?). This is naadNaad The inner sound that is subtle and all-present. It is the direct expression of the Absolute. Meditated upon, it leads into a sound current that pulls the consciousness into expansion. . (?). Repeat it. We are not prepared, we are getting there. Just that, concentrate on that, copy it and take the load of the words where it belongs.

(Tape continues...)

YB: (Over tape) copy it, again, copy it right, you can exactly copy it. Sanskrit has one beauty anybody vocally can copy it perfect. There are no two sounds. Right, go ahead. Concentrate and copy it.

(Tape continues...)

YB: (Over tape) it means who can praise thee O Lord, I can only praise you now in your action names and whole Jap Sahib in the action names of the God. But before that the key is that what God is has been soundly said in those lines. The faculty of God, has anybody peace lagoon? Take Jap Sahib and take the meaning of it. Premka has done a good job there. Speak.

Student: (----).

YB: Do you understand what powerful contents are there in those words? Why I am asking you to remember it, why I am asking you to feel about it, because you have a very limited imagination of God. The greatest sin is, repeat after me, the greatest sin is to imagine God in a limited way.

Students: (-----)

YB: When you imagine the unlimited in a limited way it is the greatest insult.

Students: (-----)

YB: And we insult God everyday through every action because we have no imagination or we never make an effort to imagine that God is unlimited. And that is the basic problem of our life. The mess we are creating around us is that we feel that God is limited and we can grab it and therefore we cannot enjoy the unlimited ness, we have no imagination. You have to have an imagination to grab something. Your imagination is limited, therefore your grab is limited, therefore life is limited, therefore you are limited, therefore you are mess. We create the mess, God didn't create the mess.

I'll like to have the tape in Gurmukhi and also sung in English at the same time, so that people who do not know the meaning must know and I want you to understand it, feel it, remember it, repeat it, so that you can understand the unlimited God and the problem is very simple. What is the solution of all? Tell me. What you will get if you remember this and know this? You will become intuitive of the Infinity and that you have to be. You do not understand every paraphernalia is nonsense. If you do not get the intuitive Infinity you do not get the life. Your mother slept your father or your father... This you can decide later. You grew up and you didn't grew up, this you decide later. You are rich or poor, this you can decide later. The problem now is what is tomorrow and tomorrow cannot come to you if you do not have intuitive Infinity. Intuitive Infinity is the life of the self, is the life of the person, it is what it is and it must be grabbed.

The class sings: "May the long time sun shine upon you..."

YB: Hey work hard, get the tape done...
