's grace, if you don't even, if you don't even remember me, but you will remember these few words which I am going to say to you today.
Life is a process and life is a vibration. Life goes, it comes and goes, it is up and down, it is, it is a impulse. You, you know you have a pulse but it is a impulse. It is a impulse in the sense that we, we draw to certain intuitive natures. We draw to certain intuitive areas. We get drawn to certain intuitive way of life like there is no law of the Earth which is manmade law. Morality, ethics, religion, law of the state, they, they, nobody obeys that. No human being obeys that, we try to do that because we try to look good but there is a impulsation. Impulsation is of cause and effect, KarmaKarma
The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action.
. That is the main law which makes you to obey and disobey. And this impulsation is like tidal wave. It sometime strikes you and take you right on the shore or sometime it takes you strike right at the shore and destroys everything.
Each individual has certain things to do. Each individual has to do to himself or each individual has to do to his consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
or each individual has to do his grace but, one thing is each individual has to break the interlocked neurosis of his life and he has to get loose to become to be a soul to worthwhile going to the God. This path was laid down at the time of GuruGuru

and then people were assured of a certain way of life. That is called Khalsa. Now this 1976 year was a year where some people could not trust themself enough to be in the Khalsa. They, they find it fearful, they find it, they find it that well, there is too many restriction, they find it that it's not possible to practice all the restriction. They want to be themself. No, they are not themself, one who tells me, I, I want to explain to you, one who tells me he want to be himself, I want him to tell him, "You are very deeply sick." Because there is nobody on this Earth who is himself.
Choice is very simple. Between a sick and a Sikh, choice is, it's not, I am not making it because this is the only thing. Between your own interlocked neurosis you can never come out, it's not possible. It's not possible. And even when people are practicing lot of religions, there is a faith that 'I am religious.' It is not the one can stand up, say, 'All right, I am I am, whatever I am.' It is not that spirit yet in many, many million people. It's not there.
We get happy when a son is born to us. We get happy when a child is born to us. We get very happy when money comes to us, we get very happy when we pass in a degree, we get happy if we make little more money, we become very little convenient or inconvenient, whatever nonsense you want to call it. But if you look at the real reality of facts, you are just a statue tugged in the mud, nothing more than that. If you really want to understand. Towards the ladies, this is how their husbands do. Ladies are very few married women has done this, therefore, I exempt them right now.
First their husband will start not doing SadhanaSadhana
, Saadhana
A spiritual discipline; the early morning practice of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. The Aquarian Sadhana can be an individual or group practice; Ideally, it includes the recitation of Japji Sahib, a Kundalini Yoga kriya, and chanting the Aquarian Sadhana meditations, immediately followed by Gurdwara. According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting.
. That's the criteria. Then turban will go off, then hair will go off, then DharmaDharma

is, he did made us a committed human being. A one thing a Khalsa, a Sikh cannot do, he cannot fool around. You can do lot of things, I am, I am not saying you should not, you should do as many sick things you want to do, but moment you start doing a Sikh thing, you cannot befool, you cannot befool yourself, you cannot befool anybody else.
Either you are this way or that way and that is called in a simple psycho analysis pure demand and state of consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
. It's a million dollar therapy. And it is not ordinarily possible for ordinary person. You must understand this. And don't misunderstand from where we are going to get the Sikhs. We are not going to get the Sikhs. Sikhs are not to be got. We are not going to put our hand out, 'Come on, be a Sikh,' that's not the situation, don't misunderstand. There are going to be times, when there are going to be Sikhs and the Sikhs of the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
.
Let us make it a point today. Don't ever give me the credit that I am the vehicle for it. I want to make a simple statement today with you, 'If I am a Sikh of any kind, it is because of you.' We have a relationship going on. But technically speaking, if one cannot be a Sikh, one should not be a Sikh. And we, we believe in one simple way. After all, where are you going to run away? Millions of people drink coffee, they don't drink yogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
tea. Millions of people eat meat and drink wine. I tell you one thing – I prefer those who drink every night because at least they make themself pig head and just sleep or do weird things, give themself release. Because if you do not know the technology of meditationMeditation
Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself.
and you do not know, have the self-respect and you do not know how to take care of yourself, then there is only one way to take care of yourself is to feed your animal. If you cannot feel your spirit, you have to feed your animal. You cannot do two things at the same time.
I remember, a person once called me on phone and he said, "Yogiji, at this time, you know what I want to do?"
I said, "What you want to do?"
He said, "I want to tear off my clothes, I want to go on the top of my roof and I want to yell."
I said, "Okay, what that will do?"
He said, "Just I want to do that."
I said, "Okay, why don't you go not on the top of the roof, you go into the upper room. Do you have a upper story?"
He said, "Yes."
I said, "Go in one of the upper room, tear off your clothes and yell."
He said, "Okay."
He went, tore off his clothes and yell. After fifteen minutes I got the telephone call, I said, "How is it?"
He said, "I have lost a suit which I bought for sixty dollars and nothing happened. Simply I yelled."
I said, "Okay, you did what you wanted to do, right? Okay, fine. Try not to do in future but if it happens, just call me."
So in about twenty days after, there was another emergency call and I said, "What is it now?"
He said, "I have now got the same urge."
I said, "Okay, you got the same urge? Fine." I said, "Go in yoga mudraMudra
Mudra means "seal." It usually refers to hand positions used in meditation and exercise practices. These hand positions are used to seal the body's energy flow in a particular pattern. More generally it can refer to other locks, bandhas (see Mul Bandh), and meditation practices that seal the flow of energy by concentration.

, right now."
He said, "Okay."
After exact seven minutes a telephone call came. I said, "What is it?"
He said, "I saved my suit and I saved my neurosis, and I never knew it is so easy."
I said, "Well."
"But why didn't you tell me last time?"
I said, "No. Last time you should know what you want to know. This time you should know what I want to tell you."
The neurosis has been given to us, they are laid on us. We have been raised that way. I am not, now excuse me, the religions never did a good job. All male slaves, all male slaves were circumcised and all male slaves hair were cut. Religions picked up those things later. In the very early time, these two things were done that the male secretion at the point of his organ should cease so that his children and his generation should be fearful. That circumcision doesn't cure cancer because in the entire eastern religion, eastern religions, nobody circumcise themself and nobody knows what cancer is. So, you know, if you take the statistics, don't misunderstand (?). It was done with a particular intention that such male who will not secrete at his male organ, shall not merge that secretion with the female and such a child will be in fear.
So they thought if they will be fearful children, they can be good slaves. And second thing was done was, cut off their hair. It is a human history. Don't look at me, look at the history books, you will find them right there. So the idea was, where GuruGuru

immediately got up and he said, "Wait a minute, we are all sons and daughter of the God and we got to live in our fulfillment and let us get out of these basic erroneous conceptions. And what we are trying to do at this time is, to save our children from these tortures. To save our children from these neuroses.
At this minute when I am talking, somebody is being raped, somebody is being murdered, somebody is being killed, somebody is being looted, somebody is being cheated, everything is happening. And as more we'll grow, it will happen more and more. That kind of society, no human being will be in a position to live.
I said to you, the alternative is very simple. Either be a Sikh or be a sick. It looks very vague when I say it today. It doesn't mean what I am talking. It looked very vague when eight years ago, seven years ago I talked the same thing. It looked very vague at that time. It looked really fantastically vague. 'Oh, what the single man can do?' Because I know I have not come here to do anything, it is already done, I am going to just look at it. So there is no basic fundamental problem. And it is not our concept in the Sikh way of life the man rules another man. We get along with your neurosis. All right, have it. Then you face it. But I have also told you that all of you who are today sitting in GuruGuru

and that can sustain itself. These little setbacks, these little arguments, these little logics, these little reasons, my friends, have no values. They don't have. Because people can only promise you that you can be happy. They cannot promise you your children can be happy. They cannot even promise that you can have a happy home because happy home, happy children, happy family, happy individual, lies in living a commitment. Open, clean and honest.
Dishonesty breeds ill-will with God. Got it? You got it? And what we are is, it's a clean, open chapter of living, (?), it's a declaration of war on dishonesty. We are not saying that we are super human beings, I am not saying that. We are not super human beings but we are such human beings who have decided to get out of our neurosis and our dishonesty within ourself. Let us take it that way. We are a bunch but we are a bunch.
In our creative intelligence we feel and every human being can feel the same thing, that if you cannot live a committed valuable life, you are anytime going through the pit-hole of your own destruction. That is why, among the states of states of state, welfare state was the idea because they thought nobody can be poor, nobody can be rich, no rich can be rich if there are lot of poor and no poors can become rich if there is no rich. So what they decided is, to share and GuruGuru

said, Vand Chako, share. He said the same thing. And I want to ask one thing today. Which is America which doesn't want Americans to commit to America? Which is Canada which doesn't want Canadians to commit to Canada? Commitment is the first instinct of all human beings. It's the first demand. Are we demanding something more than that? Then every welfare state, every goodness wants to expand. That's why we say, rise early in the morning and meditate to expand. Expand. Don't be angry. That will eat you up. Expand. That will take you far away from you. And then share.
The fundamentals of Sikh way of life is the seeker's path. I see people who read from the GuruGuru

Ki Fateh. That kind of human beings. We don't want cats and mouse game to be played. We want it to be open, honest and direct. Each woman should understand, a man who cannot commit to DharmaDharma
A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma.
, he cannot commit to a woman because woman is DharmaDharma

.
You can befool yourself for a while but in the long run you will find it, it's true. A man who cannot commit to the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
cannot commit to the child. Because without guidance one has to commit to his ego. And when you commit to your ego, you have to be extremely selfish. When you are extremely selfish, you do not know where you are hitting and sometime you hit below your own belt. And in the, in the very statement of the ways, please understand that guidance of God is the law of God. When God becomes merciful, He gives us the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
. When GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
becomes merciful he gives us the God and this is called inter-exchange of cosmic law.
Have you read in certain books what they call it, secret law of the cosmos? Have you heard about it? You know what is the secret law of the cosmos? Secret law of the cosmos says is, because of half-evolution of the man, he will go to the guidance of the holy of the unholy of the holy. Unholy, word is unholy of the holy. That clearly means one who can see the unholiness of the holy and holiness of the unholy. It's a statement of balance. It's called law of balance. And from there, when a person reaches there and he stays there, from there he reaches God.
So you have to go to a teacher, from a teacher you have to go to a God because that's all he teaches. And this is the law of consciousnessConsciousness
The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality.
, this is not manmade law. We are trying to justify our laws. But that is not what we want. If we want to make this lifetime healthy, happy and holy, we understand the law. And the lawgiver was a living human being. That is why, the lawgiver proved to us, he could give his four sons, and not four sons. Your son, at the age of fifteen, can do any nonsense. . And we are so fortunate that somehow our own instinct and nature has brought us unto him. How it happened? I don't know. I don't know why I came here, first to begin with. How I can tell you why you came here?
Now I sit back and I wonder wow. Whatever is impossible is possible because in the word impossible, if you drop the 'im,' possible is there. Have you seen the trick? In every woman man is there. And in every impossible possible is there. So, there is a positive to every negative. If we as Americans are western people have lived very uncommitted, loose and lousy life, we can also live very well-disciplined and creative life. And towards that end is our privilege and I remind you, nineteen hundred, nineteen hundred and seventy-six years ago, a man died leaving two hundred fifty to two hundred seventy-five rebels, he was disgraced by the state of Israel and he was put on a cross. His name was Jesu, in western world known as Jesus. But he said one thing – 'I don't belong to this Earth, I belong to the Earth after this.'
Five thousand year ago there was a man known Krishna. He said, 'I am the God, God is me. God and me, me and God are one.' This is the same thing he said, he never said more than this, I can tell you that. Entire Gita is this. If you want to translate Gita in English in one sentence, this is the translation, 'God and me, me and God are one.' That's Wahe Wahe Guru

And also, there was a man very truthful and innocent. Moses, the lawgiver. What they did all? All they said to man what you can say to the man today that from here to there, from here to there, there is no here and there. Whatever is there is here and whatever here is there. If you are cheating here, you are cheating there, if you are cheating there, you are cheating here, period. And you are cheating because of fear. You are afraid. , you know what she gave me that day? She gave me only a dry bread. I said, "What happened to the butter, what happened to the honey, what happened to the other thing?"
She said, "Crying children do not get anything, they only are maintained and sustained. Butter and honey and all that jazz comes to those who first go to God and then get the goodies."

And you have not to feed their neurosis?

She said, "My God. Yogiji, save me."
I said, "No, no, no, no, I don't want to save you. Save yourself."
She said, "But so many years."
I said, "It takes so many years to ruin a person. And takes one second to learn it. Now you have learnt and now you rise up and just live it."

(Students' laughter)
I am telling you my morning prayer. And this is how simple as it is. I said, "Look, you are great, your complex is great, your whole thing is great but I am a little teeny-tiny nut, but I tell you these are the little nuts which hold the things together. So I am going to get up today and you better hold me together, so that we can keep things going."
