We have five billion people on planet earth today, we have about two hundred and some countries, we have about sovereign nations and within the nations there are tribes which do not fall in part of the nations and they want their independence and if all groups are given their independence estimately there will be about two thousand nations divided on geographical line. Will that bring peace to the earth? No. We have twenty two over religion, we have six schools of thought, independent of each other, to reach the state of ecstasy, we have eight major religions and we have twenty-two practicing religion, is mankind happy? Answer is no. Then question is what is the purpose of life in a man?

The purpose of life in a man is to reach happiness. What is happy? That has to be defined first. Happy is when you take care of your own tranquility and also you can take care of tranquility of all others you are involved in, that's happiness, it's a total sum of peace, tranquility and grace, three things makes happy. If a wife bitch the husband and husband totally bangs her on every step it won't go because there is no peace.

'Kala kalitar vasey, kariyo pani na sey.'

If there is always a tension and bitchiness in the environment, even the water from the pot, water is supposed to be contained in the pot, it runs away. Every tolerance has a limit, every limit has a tolerance and this relationship continues. Now what is the idea then to be religious? What is the idea to be graceful? What is the idea to be nice? What is the idea to meditate? What is the idea to take cold shower? What is the idea to grow beard? What is the idea to tie a turban? What's the idea to be a Sikh? Is this a gimmick, another facade or it has some reality to it? Let me tell you in the words of GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. , not in my words because some are here are Indian and Indian do not like me to speak in my language, because it hurts them deeper than they think.

We have, (?) we have a problem with Indian population in United States because they want their Gurdwaras to be chair and they wants to be sitting there with bare head and they want to look like that, so very first day I came I had a fight and this fight went on, with GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's grace we won but the scars are deeper, they cannot tolerate me, I cannot tolerate their nonsense, period, lets us start with one line because I believe the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. and the ten GurusGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. gave the basic law, that law is honorable and it must be followed and I believe if I don't even follow that law I don't deserve to be myself associated with the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , there is no reason to follow because knowing truth is great but living truth is the greatest. I cannot believe that Gurudwara, I cannot see a Gurudwara with chairs and with bare head and with a boots on, I cannot and I do have still have still an imperial value Gurudwara where they do practice the old practice, even today.

So I basically believe that I am not going to be part of this emotional nonsense because I believe Sikhism is not a culture religion, it doesn't belong to Punjab only, it doesn't belong to Punjabis, (?), it doesn't belong to Indians, it belongs to the universe, I believe that, and idea is that there are other religions which you know, Christianity is there, Judaism is there, Islam is there, three very major religions and then Buddhism is there, Hinduism is there and Dao is there and then one of the most explicit fantastic religion of detail, Shinto is there, ying and yang's problems are there, pyramids are there, triangles are there, angles are there, squares are there, what is all this man wants for? Why to be a Sikh? That's my topic today. And what it is to be a Sikh? And why Sikhs are not Sikhs?

Let me tell you in a simple law of language and let me tell you once for all that you may not have any misunderstanding, let you hear where the buck stops, so you may not have any consideration. I don't think all of you are going to remain Sikhs and I don't think anybody is leaving. My problem is very simple; Sikhism is not individual religion, Sikhism does not promise anything which it does not deliver, Sikhism is a religion of the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , it is not the religion of the man made emotional nonsense, it is not satisfying a man in economic, social and personal sexual or other (?) thing, it satisfy a man in every aspect of it. Sikh religion is a religion of ShaktiShakti The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature. , it's religion of power, it's religion of victory. You just watch a Sikh religion, it's a very beautiful mildly, well orchestrated religion, I sometime wonder, if you even understand Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. GuruWahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Jab lag Khalsa rehey niaaraa

Tab lag tej dee-o me (n) saaraa

Jab eh ga-eh bipran dee reet

Me(n) na karo(n) en kee parteet.

Period, how more honest a statement can be than that? Jab Lag Khalsa Rehey Niaaraa, so long the Khalsa remains Niaaraa, exclusive, Tab lag Tej Dee-o Me (n)Saara, I will give all the brightness, light and power, Jab Eh Ga-Eh Bipran Dee Reet, when you follow the commoner, Tao Na Karo (n) En Kee Pareet, I will not give them any satisfaction, that's the father of the nation calling in his own statement. Now where I do go wrong?

You want all the light, good, you don't want to burn the gas, you don't want to burn the oil, you want the light, you don't want to burn the oil, what will happen, that tweed will burn and matter will be ending, there will be nothing in it. That's why religion has nothing for the man and GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. make it very clear, if you want something this is the way. Exclusive, Niaaraa means Niarraa, Arra Vara Niaaraa, these are three words, Niaaraa means exclusive excellence, literal translation in English, the most equivalent word of Niaaraa is, exclusive excellence. In ArdasArdas Prayer; the formal group prayer of the Sikhs. ,

'Pritham bhagaute simar ke GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. lae dheaa-eh.'

Bhagaute is the Goddess of eight facet power hand, walks on the tiger, the ego and excels every demons or ill will in the world and these nine stanzas are taken from Var of Bhagavute, from the Dasam GranthGranth Literally: knot: book. .

'Pritham Bhagaute Simar Ke GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. This is from the Var of Bhagaute those lines, as (?) this is from SukhmaniSukhmani Peace Lagoon; a prayer written by Guru Arjan; Song of Peace. , (?) you are the God, (?) and you are praying, it's not escapism, it is dedication. You are the God and you are the prayer. Jeo pind sab teri raas, all living and all in construction, all matter and life is your doing. Dharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. has a very clear meaning to it, it's a religion which lives the reality of exclusive excellence and it has a methodology behind it, technicality behind it, it worked at the time of GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. , tragedy was so much, human was so beaten up, battered, low, that it was not practical possible for a man even to raise his neck. At that time not only he crated men of vigor and violence and vigor to violence and power to stupidness and righteousness and justice and mankind and human relationship and Red Cross by BhaiBhai Brother. Kanhaya and all that. The whole play was played with one spiritual idea in front that there is a possibility of an exclusive excellence, if certain steps are followed and those steps are BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. , BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. , SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. , SimranSimran A deep meditative process in which the naam of the Infinite is remembered and dwelled in without conscious effort. .

Now some people ask me why I wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. ? And why should one wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. ? And why one should wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. , one should wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. when goes somewhere, it is a Sikh way of life, otherwise you should not wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . Let me tell you those idiots one thing; you don't wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. for a show or a game, you are American, you only believe in fad, BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. is not a fad you idiots, BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. is not a fad you stupids, BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. is a self meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. of creating exclusiveness, I am not promising excellence, forgive me, I am not promising any excellence, I am just telling you the fundamental A is A and A's apple, this is a learning process. BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. only tell you and as accurate this BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. is, it tell you exclusive excellence on the way, it doesn't promise anything. So if you have any idea that you can be a great Khalsa and great this and great that and you can lay your number, you are dead wrong because behind this BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. somebody is going to find there is no Khalsa, he is going to be more hurt, then he is going to be hurt otherwise.

So please forgive me that when you wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. you carry a exclusive, what you call is responsibility, you cannot just wear a BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. and do everything what you want to do and still see because you are wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. therefore everything is covered, that's not true because BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. only can sustain itself if there is a BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. in the heart. BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. can last that much only if it is supported by the BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. in the heart and BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. only will be respected, if you understand that you do SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. and SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. only can you do if you have a power of the SimranSimran A deep meditative process in which the naam of the Infinite is remembered and dwelled in without conscious effort. in your heart.

So there are two things inside and two things outside, let us put it straight. There is a SimranSimran A deep meditative process in which the naam of the Infinite is remembered and dwelled in without conscious effort. and BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. inside, there is BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. and SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. outside and that is the beginning of the way of the Khalsa or of the Sikh. So if somebody thinks that they can play around about it and get away with it, I don't think that's very reasonable thing to do, just watch, majority of the people who have come from India, they come here and they fall apart because inner strength is required more here to match the outside vulgarity, insecurity and nonsense. So when people come here and they fail, they do not make sense, they get angry and anguish because inside strength is not there to match outside demand.

Simple reason; their inside strength cannot compute their outside demand, they use two things-either ego and they boast, either their intelligence to find a clever way. When intelligence and ego mix together, you create a hell, you can never get out of it. When consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. and intelligence meet, you create a heaven, nobody can destroy it, take it or leave it, it's your choice. But I have a very, very unfortunate, thankless job, I have to interpret the mechanical side of it and that mechanical side sometime is very cumbersome and very painful to explain because we have a nature, we want to escape the reality into romance. Whenever a person wants to manufacture his reality into romance, the net result of life becomes emptiness and pain.

Therefore please understand the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's path is very direct, simple and extremely inspiring but it does offer practical inside, practical inside and practical power inside to balance the outside. I know many of you might be having some problems in the future because the one thing which I want to warn you is that now there is going to be a lot of movements and doubts and all that kind of stuff because now it is a (?) period of prosperity. If you as a Sikh do not have the consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. to see God and what you are hurting and you as a Sikh only see God what you are loving, you should be dead. Then there is a real heaven, then nothing to worry about but if you think that just making something here and looking good you can do well, I think you are hurting yourself.

YB: One minute, one minute, children are going to go to India, school is in construction, my secretary of religion is going and the I want to make it clear to those parents who are creating a kind of nuisance the go to hell, it's a school for my children and they are going to be part of that school in the construction also, it's a last touch. We want to send these children to be a part of that school and feel the honor I put that brick, I painted that corner, I did this, I scaped this land and these parents who are so stupid and so Americanly neurotic who wants to take away from these children this right or I think, I think it's it's a very hellish situation and I want to send them this message, if you don't know how to talk shut up, don't sit on your children, don't ruin their future, don't make them emotional nonsense, that's not what we need. We are our self in a terrible pain and anguish and anxiety, to send first of all children twelve hundred mile away from here, number one; number two, we also feel that separated from that we see them once a year or once, twice year or three year, all that, why we are doing it? We are doing it with a simple psychology, eight million school related violences were recorded in United States in 1988, there is a drug in every school, mathematic does not exist, teacher do not go, every there we.... It is the security in a school is worst than the airport. What we are talking about? If we don't love our children, just tell them, don't tell me. Then I want to share you something. This morning I was talking to one child I said, "Very good, you are going, how you feel?"

He said, "It was too late here in America."

The other one I called and I said, "Hi, you are going to go."

He said, "No, my papa jiJi Soul; used as an endearment or sign of respect. couldn't pay the money."

Isn't terrible? I said, "Don't worry we will make the arrangements, there is nothing to worry about."

So what I mean to say is that you think children are your furniture and you can polish it any way and paint it the way you want it, it's not true, that's the greatest tragedy you will create. That's why when the children grow up as adults, they do one thing, they want to punch your face first before they know how to punch. Don't be rough and really cruel to your children for God sakes, leave them alone, they are gift of God to us and we love them very much and we want to grow and become part of everything in our life, we don't want to treat them because they are little guys and therefore you can sit on them, that's a terrible tragic way of dealing your own children. Yes, you have suffered, yes your parents satSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. on you, yes you have a miserable time, yes you have all the paranoia, yes you are psychotic, neurotic and everything, for God sake, is it essential written in the book of law that you have to pass them to your children? Who told you to do that?

Well, you know in every city there is a sewage plant, sewage plant, right, so please don't let your plant go out of order and let your sewage come into the streets of the children, they had it enough and this the time, they are very beautiful, mature and we have catered and cared for them and we have brought them up to a certain standard. Now to ruin their emotions and feeling and put a garbage on them and make them feel miserable it's not a part of life, that's the door, we don't want that. Our children shall go, be part of that school, built it up and feel proud, however in accommodation I have made myself personal call and we have full hotel and rooms above all rented and we have all the facility.

So all the gossip and the garbage has nothing to do with these children, they are going happy. I am glad GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. I know some parents cannot even let them go in street. Oh, don't go, car will run over you, there are some children, they must not leave the parents, because parents are emotionally sick, either they have to go to physiatrist or they have to play with their children. For them it is, it's a game. You know you have that net basketball, for emotional basketball if you want to keep your child home and you do not want to participate in future and you do not want he should be have some independence to educate himself and herself, does not want to face the world at large, you do not want to trust your children, you are totally hateful because you have some vendetta with your parents, tell it to a psychologist, go to a physiatrist and spend time that way, don't lay this garbage on children which has grow up with me and I shall not tolerate it, period.
