As we start the subject today the basic title of the subject is 'Inter log of the interest.' Human monetary, personal and you have got that brochure and it is very, very beautifully worded to convince you to come to this course. Idea is to convince you to come to this course is simple. The subject is extremely boring and everybody hates to deal with it. And it's so hate worthy that we put so many names to it and potentially size it many ways. The question is without this no business, can sustain itself. None.
The difference between a business and an individual government is that government when goofs on this situation they can pass a (?) call it revised budget and that they call it interim budget, first the main budget and then they call it a supplementary budget. When a government passes a supplementary budget it means it has goofed on the inter-log. Interest inter-log was not considered. Whosoever made the budget is just a creep, now, what to do? Government, has to come through, there are two ways for a government to come print the notes. Then there is a inflation. Tighten the money, industry collapse. So they come with a supplementary budget.
And you will be surprised in all democracy you will find there is always supplementary budget. But in a domestic life it's not possible. And a business it is possible in the sense that you can ask for a more and a longer credit line. But a bank will not lie to be nice to you if you do not have a tremendous amount of collateral and a wonderful record. So it's a very thin line situation, it's undependable situation, it's not, something, which a bank will lie to go into. But if you are intelligent businessman and you have a good record of reverence and you have a equity and it's not the equity which a bank needs in a business, it also needs the potential how your plan is and from the last three years, that's how they examine, in the last years how you have honored your plans and what your plans have produced. If every plan you give without equity produces thirty percent or more profit than what you have said bank will give you extended credit line. Otherwise they won't. This is their bottom line policy to secure themselves. But let us see what we are talking about. What is all about, where do we goof, what are the slips of the pits and how we can cover ourself, that's the subject, which I want to go with you. Wish me well.
We are the center of the business. Center of the business is not office, it's not administration, it's not management, it's not the billboard outside, it is not the secretary inside, it's not the reception room, it is not the person, his suit, his coat, his brooch, it is in the head. Center of the business of that is somewhere he is a C and there is a B. And then we build around, it a big paraphernalia. And sometime our businesses have dependable and undependable projective (?) lights and we proceed from here and start building here something small then it becomes big, it becomes so big it takes over this. And it can go on and on and on and on and every business takes over other business, every other business takes over other business, every business have to have a strategy, every strategy has to have projection, every projection.... it is just like a romantic relationship. Extremely, boring because in romance you have another person to play with. In business you have an, other romance to play with. And I remember once I said somebody I said, "You are multi, multi millionaire. You have more business that you can't even list them. Why you want more business?"
He said, "Just for the more of it."
"If you don't have that attitude, I want more, I want more, I want more of more you can't deal with it. Life will become painful and absolutely you will be small and remember in the business world little fish is always eaten by the big fish." They always say little fish is a meal for the big fish. And don't take it wrong. Ultimately in this ocean of business the only thing, which survive is not the business. It is you. Business is your projection, business is your reflection and business is your identity and business is an institute to which you can do two things. In a institution you can either live off the institution or you can live out of it. You can be lazy, you can delay, you can think wrong, your projections can fail, that is why in a business they say watch eye.
What is a 'watch eye'? Write the inter-log, L O G, log, daily log, daily log of your business, they call it 'rokad'. You must understand the first business center of the world is India and they have a language called 'Landey'. And their books run this way, opens this way, this way. You don't have to lift a pen, writing the entire business sequence. And one line means one million dollars another line means minus million dollar, little twist in it means nothing, little twist in that way means everything. It's a complete language. But in that language you do not lift your pen. You continue. And the language is called 'Landey'. If you look at 'Landey' it's just some snail line written you can't even understand what is all this about, but it's all business record. It's a journal of the business. And in our western world we call it daily journal, in original language it's called 'rokad'.
You write everyday your accountability of the business. Like, a, daily diary. What I did today? What are my fears? What are my threats? What are my projections? What are my goals? What's my achievement? What I wanted to achieve? What I have achieved? People are afraid to do that because, you are afraid to be exposed. But my dear you are afraid to be exposed but you are not afraid to be dumped? You have a choice between the two. All business houses have administrative aid or they call them executive secretaries who do this dirty job, of writing the daily journal, of the business. And this is what in a daily journal you have to watch out and I like to plan that out for you just watch what you don't do in your daily business.
Everyday you must know your investment, investment. Everyday in that investment you must know your current expenses. Everyday you must know your projected expenses. And everyday you must know your reserve power to meet expenses. RPME. We always say rip me. Because once this doesn't meet you have a bad news. In business world you can get a lip sympathy, you can be appreciated, you can talk to, you can romance, you are beautiful. But when it comes to this it's a matter of weeks, days, months, your boat is on the rock and this figure must tell you where you stand. Now to fluctuate with this you can either increase the credit line, feel comfortable or you can get investors or you can get partners or you can go in rampage, merge, submerge, ask, don't ask, and if you read the Wall Street journal you will find this is a everyday affair. It's no different thousands years from now, it is not going to be any different thousand years from onwards. This is the vital link of a working life and a business life.
Business has certain rules. You want to know them? That is Ms. B. That's how I learnt it, that's how I am drawing it, exactly that way you taught it. Ms. B has a lover. Ms. B has a lover. And Ms. B has, what they call who breaks the love affair, what they call them.

YB: You are right. Villain. Villain is a frustrated lover who wants it but can't get it. You got it? I draw it wrongly so it looks dirty. Villain is never a good person. Even (?) is no good. This is Mr... these are the two polarities which are all the time romancing, advancing, sending flowers, throwing arrows, throwing stones, goodwill, bad will and it's a constant process, it will never end so long business will live. The problem with you gentlemen is you do not want to play this romance. But Ms. B does. Her dating capacity is fixed. You can match it or you can't match it. If you can't match it you are out of business. If you can match it you are in business, in and out is decided right there. Correct? You got it? Is it clear?
Now the profit has a support. First support is goodwill. Second is bank will. Third is consumer's will. Fourth is opportunity what they call it chain and big accounts and all that rigmarole, for which we do the PR. Her loss is on the villain side is bad management, bad temper, bad judgement and bad PR. But the bottom line is good product over bad product. If it is a good product you will not make good sense if the villain is all in, but you will survive. But it's a bad product. You don't have a chance. So they say in real estate there are three things for (?) location, location, location and business is product, product, product, if the consumer needs the product you have right mind for it, right opportunity for it, you can sell it, it can go on. But what you have to watch in a daily journal, which is the subject today, if this business cannot survive, if you do not watch this. In your daily calculation there are certain Do's, that is, everyday you should know what interest you are paying. What administration cost you have added or deleted? What commission and commitments, you are making today to further the business? What are your expenses for projection? Whether you are spreading thin or you are solid.
Now question is what we do is when we are caught with the confrontation of the whole thing, then, we start thinking these things. That's the tragedy of business. No jiJi

, business has to be daily recorded in your daily journal making all these points right before you. Then you have to daily see income, projected income, analysis report, matching the goals, contacts, expansion and new territories. If in a business you do not entertain new territories, new thoughts, new blood you may be successful but you will be out of the field. No business by itself in its own self can sustain. Now you are religious group I can tell you even God couldn't live in His own boredom, He got to expand. You got to get out, you go to get new ideas. You got to get new territories. You got to new contacts, you, got to have something. One thing another is end is endless.
Just remember in business one line. "Anth Beyanth hai." End is endless. If you can maintain that psychological mentality and not mess around and goof around on small things, you have a perfect attitude for business. If you don't, just consult.
One thing in business which is the most dangerous and which everybody is a victim to it is it's called internal audit. Every government has internal audit, every good business has internal audit, every company have a internal audit and planning cannot be based on your point of view, your bank support, your possibilities, it has to be based on a internal audit report. Strength of the business is by the internal audit report. It cannot be imaginative, it cannot be subjective, it cannot be projective. And the internal audit will tell you two and two. If you ever think in a business you don't need goodwill of the people, you don't need PR of the people, you don't want to send presents and receive presents. You don't want to do all that. You are out of business.
Business is a continuous romance with people who you hate the most. Your human capacity is you will romance people, you like the most. You understand? Are you there? But in the business world you romance people you hate the most. Send a present to somebody who is going to complain about you six months from now. So that present can shut him up. It is called pre-confronting syndrome. Every client has it.
Watch your interest. Don't watch interest by a profit table, don't watch interest you are expanding, that's not interest log, it is called interest log. It's a cataloging the interest logs. Where your interest is how you are serving, clients, public relation, future, friends, bank, your wife, your children, your car, bad car with rounded corner tires can go flat in the way. You can miss a appointment. Your wife can create a stir at the lunch or a breakfast. You will have no good day. You have a business meeting. Your child in the school can goof up. Create an emergency. Create a trauma. Create a drama. Your girlfriend and your wife can come in the office same time. It's all business. You can deliver wrong present to the right person and right present to the wrong person. This is called human error. For a human error and to avoid a human error you need a executive secretary it can be a male or a female. Choice is your, choice of the gender.
And in the business world the worst thing is the one person you do not want to listen is the executive secretary. When the executive secretary speaks businessman thinks his mother is talking. You understand?
There are two most tragic things in a business–Individuality and authority. We all want in business I want to do the business. Business wants to do you. You can never do a business if you want to do a business. If you let the business do you, you are in business. If you let the business do you, you will become specialist, you will become expert, you will become somebody, when you want to do business it will be only you and nothing more. You can open a little store and sell for five cents and (?) you know that ninety-nine-cent stores? One man, there all things below ninety-nine, no counting required forget about it, you know what profit they make? Ninety-nine cents.
One Colombian emerald found and sold, cut and brought into a necklace, from nine thousand dollars got sold for eleven million dollars. And there were only three people in that business. One has the eye to know it, other has the eye to cut it, and the third one has the eye to jewel it. Customers were there. You have heard that popular story somebody went and bought two stones, they happened to be sapphires, he rounded them up, he sold them formillions of dollars, so the thought he is best. Somebody took that and rounded it (?) up and brought the gem quality out of that and sold it for sixty times, six hundred percent times something like that. But in that one deal a town was built. You can sell a train-load of mung bean and rice or you can sell one diamond, question is the commission. If you proof it the profit you will make it. If the fit of the profit comes to you and under fit you will lose it. You proof it the fit or fit, fits you. It's a total hysteria.
Business is nothing but a democratic polite hysteria. It's a avalanche. It puts you out. Either you have to go under or you have to run. If you can run away with it, you make it. But there are certain practical aspects of business and watching the interests.
Caliber. Must understand business has a identity and it has to be served by certain calibers, not by your friendship, not by your likes, not by your dislikes. Now watch yourself and go inside and find it out how many of you are willing to make friends in business when you all know that they are your sworn enemies. But business is business. You have to watch the interest of business over your own interest, your, personal interest. Personal likes, personal habits, personal projection. Personal dreams. Personal relationship, all that is. Just remember business has the same. Choice is you wont to let the business win or you want to win. If you want to win business will destroy you and itself. If you let business win you may get destroyed on the way but business will live, that's the only choice. That's why all great businessman die of heart attack young age.
In Chicago they say there is a story how much right and wrong it is, I heard it I am passing on. Ten businessmen met and discussed their success. And decided after ten years they will meet and discuss again. So after ten years the room was pre-booked, everything was all set, none came. But the bill got paid. Do you understand? Daily diary, daily journal, writing the daily log of interest of business is essential. It's a very boring practice. It's cumbersome. And the daily log of your business practices they call rokad, daily log of general of business must be matched up with the internal audit. Are you there? And within one week a deadline be set to take the bugs out otherwise you are dead. That's how sophisticated business problem is.
I am just wondering who runs the 3HO businesses. I have never understood how we survive. We obey no rule, we follow nothing and we are still alive. This miracle I am wondering myself how is about. But if you want to... question is, if you want to run the proper business, if you want to just built a individual ego and call it a business and if you want to just show off individuality and call it a business and if you want to just boast about something fall in you luckily because it happens to be and you call it business then you are out of business. You are a showbiz. And you go for a while but you won't last. Business is a everlasting process of life. It's a everlasting process of life, it can go on with you, it can go on without you.
Your importance in business world is only you are with it or you are not with it. You can have a credit line, you can stretch yourself, you can keep going, you have a good luck, you have friends. You are this. I know of a businessman he used to do commodity business, his range of commodity business daily was sixty million, seventy million dollars. Sixty, seventy million dollars, a day. If one day he will lose seventy million dollars next day he will make sixty million dollars; one day he will make hundred seventy million dollar and he will feel lucky and three days he can (?) and he will lose, everyday it was back and forth. When he crumbled and started goofing because his desire was to retire and he couldn't because he was a single man who never trained anybody, who never shared with anybody, all he knew, was himself and his secretary. That's all it was all about. And he started goofing around and crumbling around, he took about two hundred and some friends with him. Because when he started crumbling he will start calling on bank, bank had a such a good record of thirty, forty years they will extend anything if he asked phone calls, they will give him anything and whole thing. And everything went with it. It was the biggest earthquake, which nobody heard and nobody knew. But those painful hearts are still bleeding. And that can happen to anybody.
Therefore, please remember the interest of the business is based on one line. You can fail, business can fail but system cannot fail. Make a system. And just understand in this triangle, that this is a triangle. This is you. This is the business profit, identity and this is your projection, future, ego, call it anything. But this is the eye. It must keep on seeing all aspects of it. You have a dollar bill, all of you have it; on one side there is lot of stuff but there is a one triangle there something like this if I am right make it, but here there is a big eye and this eye is, they didn't make it that way. Because that eye is for the government, which can make a supplementary budget you can't. You can't even imagine that you will get money from friends and get money from bank and pass over, it's called bridging the business. Government can. When you start bridging the business you are getting a very silent indication that something is wrong somewhere.
Just remember to watch the interest of business; don't read into business. Please don't do certain things. Don't read into business you will get involved. Read the words on the wall what the business is telling you. And don't feel ever afraid to investigate what's going on. Normally our idea is that when business start telling us it's not good, we patch up, we cover up. We don't want it to be known. Because our ego is involved, remember business has its own ego. It has nothing to do with you. It's just providing you an opportunity. The profile, which we have to discuss later after this intermission is based on these certain few fundamentals.

YB: Well they say in a very vernacular language,

First year you open the shop, second year you do not know you pay it from the interest, capital. Investment works into it. And third year it should start making profit.'
First year is that people get to know, you get to do it, (?) brought thing, bah-bah-bah that's first year. You don't know anything. Second year chati, chati means your principal is going out and third year it starts making the interest back. And that's a good business. Also the business in the line of action, which is a percentage, percentage means you cater ten percent of the populace or twenty percent of the populace, you have to be that fast and that will telescopically and microscopically correct. Otherwise have a business, which is general populace. It's a choice of a business between eighty percent populace and twenty percent populace. In eighty percent then you come out to special businesses and small businesses and all that. In twenty percent you come to the five percent, ten percent or total twenty percent. You have no big choice. Range is very limited in the upper hemisphere.
Business, is normally, run by men to leave them to the woman they think they love the most. But lot of men are corrupt, shady and inferior, they do not also enjoy the business. So their mastery of ruling the world and keeping the slave called a woman ultimately it is a M opposite of that is a W. So in that juggling the whole world moves. You will find in the real business all men who are successful made the businesses, left the businesses to their wives. They still live and who runs them? The accountants. The administrator. And everything. Those men who started businesses worked for it, did everything, are gone. Because for a male it's very difficult to cater to the ego of the business and share it and put the structure right and watch the interest and carry it thoroughly. For them it is always nobody should know it. And that's called a common priority.
Normally you will understand beast of burden and sweat and labor are males, females are not. But if you ever put a business woman into business andbusinesswoman is so sharp and cutthroat that you don't have a chance against her. Because woman in business will guard it like a mother guard the chicken or hen guard the chicken or a mother guards the child. And her whole sensitivity will play well. That's why in a business if you have a good executive secretary you are very procurely safe. And I always recommend that movie, 'Tell me what you want.' I want all men to see this. There is a one executive secretary she deals with this crazy man and with his love affairs and this floutings and nonsense and his everything. But look at her, she is steady, she is straight. And all she tells him tell me what you want. Don't yell, scream, break plates, throw away things and if you can just understand that movie just say somebody paid twelve million or fifty million dollars just for you. There are three movies I'll recommend. 'Tell me what you want,' it's a very business movie. 'King and I.' It's a royalty, it's a business, how that emperor western mind and eastern mind, oriental mind and that meets and what is the third one.

YB: 'How green is my valley?' You got to see these classical movies and see them not once; play them today, tomorrow, day after four, five times in a week. And each time, each time you will watch it, it will be different. And finally one day you will understand in your own head by your visual contact with this movie you will understand what these movies are telling. Where is the central line in it. 'Tell me what do you want,' it's a chaotic romance and absolutely exclusive fantasy and practicality and 'How green is my valley,' is a very practical, sad tale of life and this 'King and I,' just tell you the multiplicity of life on which you don't have any control. And these all three are business movies. They will show you the part of life, which is extremely important. Whether you agree with it, or not, that's not the choice. And if you want to afterwards dish out all the pain the (?) through movie, there is a movie of two sheriffs. El Dorado they call it? It's a western movie. There's a drunk, sheriff who used to be the sharpest gunman. What is the name of that movie, it's a classic. Yeah we saw it.

YB: Yeah something like... it's a western movie. You just see this man got bad habit, into a woman, everything went rotten for him, but he is a sheriff. When it comes to pulling the gun in the end he had to deliver it and in his insanity, bad health and everything but he did deliver it. So my idea is in the western world and with a western mind.....
You know the question is that, we do business to go home and tell our wife how good my day is. That's our business. We go business and ask somebody to take, somebody is a business lunch and talk about and show our male chauvinism or female feelings and play this game. Every perpetual, drainage of human intelligence is done in a business name or the business deal and it's all not true. Men don't fail by their virtue, men they fail by their drainage. So business world is totally by itself independent. But if you tell in the evening your business what you have done for darling I have done for you, that may be a better business attitude than you think you have.
You need a business attitude. Business attitude is in the morning.... now look at these Hindus I like that religion very much. They will go to the shop, they will sit not on the chair, they will put the batthis on, and they will worship the business, they will take and go to all their blessing gods and do the whole thing, they don't put the picture of their wife and their son and their child over there, not (?) ever. And they will worship it exactly they will do it on a altar. But at night when they close their daily account, they always write a personal note. Always. Which concludes what they have done to the business. If you ever meet a Indian good successful businessman and tell him to come he will say five minutes. You know what that means? He wants to pray for five minutes to himself. It is their common way of behavior. Five minutes. You always wonder what's wrong with these guys, five minutes, what five minutes he wants. Those five minutes are his, between him and his business intelligence.

YB: As far as business is concerned is, if your employee has stolen you should put all the trust in him because your system is failed. Employees always steal. No reason why not. Where did they tell you employees not there to steal haves and have not always have fight. You have, he doesn't have. He must steal. Everybody steal everybody's husband, everybody steal everybody's child, everybody steal everybody's business, everybody steal every (?) the world is full of thieves.

Everybody in business steals. They are.... in business you go, it is a glorified and classified thievery. What do you do? You will buy cheap you sell more right. And you get somebody's money. You call it profit, I mean, these are acceptable words of reference. What is it? If the other guy can go and get to the store where you can get he will go and get it there. Tell somebody that factory price is twenty dollars and the consumer price is hundred twenty dollars see how many times he buys it. No you tell him, it is actually hundred fifty dollars but I am giving you for hundred twenty dollars it's on a concession. Don't you see this the board sale, sale, sale, sale what is this sale. Jack up the price three times and reduce it to one third. Is not that thievery? What's a Goodwill? Goodwill is just polishing somebody so he keep his eyes closed. What are you talking about, I mean to say, if you want to look at reality what's all about. Same thing.
Once in our business of my kind of business I had a subordinate, he was just pain in the neck. Idiot, never will deal with anything right. Never. Finally they told him if you can just have your one room opposite to the garden and just watch garden, we'll pay you the salary. Nobody wanted him, nobody wanted to talk to him, but nobody could dismiss him except me. And I won't even touch it. Matter go on, and on and on, and almost everybody wrote him off. So when everybody wrote him off, all he will come just look at it, 'Hello you sir, this (?) how are you, any job for me,' I said no I am satisfied, he will go, he will go wherever he wants to go. He came through. So you can never know who will come through in business. Keep your options open, keep your eyes open, keep your ears open and keep your system strong. Everybody said, "Why you give him a garden room?"
I said, "So we keep on looking what he is doing. After all, because everybody passes through the gardens, so everybody looks at the window and the door and there are glass windows and all that."
That's why you see in banks they make not the rooms but those kind of divisions and in between divisions they provide windows. So idea is nobody should see that he can goof up. This is a system. Let everything fail not the system. You will never regret it. And employees do steal but your system is right, your inventory is not right, your audit is not right, your things are...
There is a simple game. Everybody wants your money. Honey. Three things everybody wants to share- your power of money, your domain and your status. And that's business about. Politics is what, status. They spend three million dollars for a job, which pays twenty thousand dollars. It's not worthy interest. They go door to door begging, asking friends to pay for it. What is donation, political donation. Asking a, money, with a promise to serve later. You think it is not stealing? Have you seen any man in a election campaign not going to door and shaking hand with those, even those who have not washed their hands. But when they get elected ask them to shake hand.
You are ill without skill. And skill is only when you put sky to the ill it becomes skill. It's called expert, specialist. Call it anything. If your business won't fail you may fail but you still keep going. That's why we humans want business to keep us busy. Business and opportunity will never wait for you. And that's a common mistake we all commit. We think business will wait for you. No way. Business and opportunity never waits for anybody. You got to cash it.

YB: Without risk there is no business. And with risk more than you there is no business. So when you have a potential thing play it out. That's where partnership, corporation, sharing all that came in. When people found out that it's not possible to have partners, it's difficult to have partners, they started making corporations. They said, "We cannot sit together and do the partnership but let us do the corporations. Let the interest live." What's a corporation? Business interest. You have to. No way out.

YB: Good business should give you between ten to twenty percent net cut. Good business, very lucrative, good business. But if it gives you steady five percent to seven percent it's not bad. When it starts showing less than that your planning is wrong. If she starts after five years, business start matching, up to zero, there is something seriously wrong. If in two years you do not expand your business there is something wrong with your head. If one year you do not plan it out to expand there is something wrong with your heart. It's a organism. Keep going. No end to it. Organic world. World stops for nothing.
Business world has its own theory. I am busy see me later. You got it see it right there and then. And for that you have to take a flower with fragrance, which suit the opportunity. That's why in business world say never present yourself without present because, you, won't attract anything. Your present will. Have you ever seen a good businessman welcoming you at his house and not standing at the door with a beautiful white or pink, whatever rose he thinks or yellow and he will not like to put on your coat? Have you ever seen that? Have you not seen they spend about fifty bucks of that damn flower, which stand what they call it. Something, it stays about within those few hours. Some special present with your presence will make the dialogue.
There is a very common saying-Weak men, weak men and a good business makes bad combination. So the reality is you have to be one step ahead. It's none of my business but the King Edward the seventh or eighth whatever he was, he left the throne and the entire generation just for some stupid idea which they call it's the biggest love of the world. So who knows who wants to do what? Because, basically in the business interest, business is nothing but busy-ness to expand and secure. Along with that there is always a interest to scare yourself and to commit your own death. They go hand in hand. And, specially, in the western world you come from a very cut-throat society because you have never been conceived and loved, you have never been raised in love, and you have never been dealt with love. Your love is, go and get it. But question is, what you think you go and get it God knows what it is. The western story is very simple.
That's why you (?) our government pays million and millions dollars in martial aid, in this aid, in this aid, and in UNO we don't have a friend. We have to use veto every time. Have you seen the Russians, they are oriental. They never pay anybody anything. They get cash first even to give arms and they never use veto and never give martial aid to anybody. They only did one mistake in their whole life, they walked into Afghanistan and they walked into this Cuba. It cost Russia seventeen million dollars a day to keep this ninety miles away and island alive. And finally this guy understood it he came and he told Castro, take little castor oil and we are going to go. And this guy started giving him sermon. You are no good. Because Castro read on the wall that seventeen million dollars is going to go away. He didn't know where to go. Remember one thing business is not a puppetry of emotions. It's not a drama of feelings. And it's not a drama of ego. Business is a pure sense of purity. It's really very meditative living if you really want to know.
Let us put it in small way. A husband and wife have a store they live on the top, they come below. But they will open it on time, they will smile at everybody, they will keep the goodwill neighborhood, they will have the things.... you understand this is a small, take this small business. See how calm, serene, good and moral it is.
There is a very popular saying with business we can live, without business we do not know why we are living. If you know why you are living have a business. I have seen a syllabus here in business graduation courses and all that I am sometimes surprised what they teach in western world. I think what they teach in western world is mostly not business but mannerism. How you can go and get it. And you know about thirty, forty opportunities you get one you are done. That's not business either. That's why in America per hundred more businesses fail than they continue. Collapse is tremendous here. People freak out, men freak out, they get isolated, segregated, no expansion, no new idea, scared to death, can't share, can't relax, can't plan, can't go bigger, can't get in more energy, can't give up more radiation, afraid to have personal contact. You want to write down the saying of the day?

Because you have to see the commodity when you sell a shoe to somebody and you fit in the shoe and you have to tell him look it is.... When you sell a shoe you tell him now test it out, please walk, make understand, because once you wear it I cannot take it back. And therefore please I am willing to do anything now but not later. You have to spend that time on that moment. You can't leave it to the walls and figure it out that you will be all right and if he comes back if you start getting shoes back, which are not available you will end up giving people free ride. That's not a good business decision. May be a good public relation. But if your profit is so high that you think this is a public relation and you can pay for it, go ahead. But I don't think it's a business, right business practice. What do you say? Nothing? Person buys the shoes, spends little more time with him. Or her, whatever the case is. So that they make a right choice, right decision.
One of the worst tragedy ever happens, somebody went to the bank, gave the proposal, and bank spread it out, they talked the whole thing and the bank said, "Yes how much you want?"
He said, "Five to six million dollars credit line and three million dollars right now advance, it's eleven million dollar project, we'll start with eight million dollars." Bank said yes. All papers signed, everything fine, wonderful. Person came, signed, three months later bank folded up. (?) go with it.
You have to be ready for a eventual, unexpected, remote possibility. That's why in a business system has to be all right. The guy called me up. He said, "Bank is gone, I am in the middle of it, is there any spiritual way to look at it?"
I said, "Yes, how many customers you got, how many sale order you got, how many this...." I said, "Write a letter to everybody the bank has folded, the business is right in the middle of it. I am going to fold but if you can send me your credit line, we can make it and we will give you twenty percent cut in the end."
He is still in business. It worked. It worked very well. His promise were not great, his labor was very sweaty, he was expecting making forty percent, he end up making ten percent but you know he survived.
If you have a solid homework, you have done well, you are not wrong. Nobody loves anybody. They go for profit. What you feed the chickens, what they call it, feed. Feed? They go for feed. Mostly people cheat you and say we will give you interest thirty percent. But you never see the principle (?).
But it's the most lowering thing is when you can sell somebody bill of good saying well, you will make more than anybody. Because then the person doesn't want a check, he is good than anybody or he is worst than everybody.

Firing is eventually possible but firing done in the quick manner is losing the last opportunity. Best way to fire somebody is squeeze him to the fact that he says adios himself and herself. Because, work itself, has a demand. And when work and demand does not tell anybody to quit it means your system is not right. System will squeeze people out. Fittest will survive. Why you should fire? Wind will take them away. But while budgeting you can budget like this. This allotment is for stupidity, for stupidity, trying the stupid guys you know see it works out, works out, not, stupid is stupid is going to be stupid. He is there everywhere, so if it is your loss you lose one stupid somebody else will gain it and he will get it for a while. I mean that goes on. There is no hiring and firing, actually, to be honest, Japanese have proven it. They put the company first, they put the identity first, they put the business interest first, that's why they are successful. We are not successful because we don't do that but we want that progressiveness. We deal with business very emotionally. Not simply.
So my personal feeling is never hire anybody, never fire anybody, let everybody come in and work it out. If you have a good workout and person can sweat fine, if he gets tired, doesn't show up next morning what a good luck. I know the answer you want but I have to give the answer what I believe. Yes, normally, is when a person is not cost effective, disciplined and effective and PR effective fire him right away before lunch happens.
I tell you somebody what he did. He came home. His wife was on the telephone. She made a bad joke, he called his attorney and served her with a divorce papers. That's firing. It's true. He came home just for lunch, she was on the telephone with one friend and she cracked a bad joke, ungraceful joke, call it anything. She finished the telephone, she went into serve the papers he calls the attorney he said come in and bring the divorce papers. And he signed it and served on her. That's called firing. That's good firing. It's not much your (?) attorney can come in and paper can be served in ten seconds, you don't have any hassle, she has no questions, she didn't have find the reason why, he heard himself that joke was really dirty, and how come his wife can make dirty jokes on the phone. It's not very graceful. He has a moral standard of grace, everything fine, she doesn't fit in, fired. And there is no problem when twenty years from now he will get up and (?) he will not be in a position to put his eyes into the eyes of son and daughter and say, yes I did it all, good. No, he fired. So I don't know what firing means actually. Because if you fire a rifle even and you do not know how to zero the rifle you are going to miss the buck. Firing is a very heavy process. Hiring and firing is a personnel management, it's the most difficult aspect of the entire business world. Because people have their personal personality, conflicting personal projection, interrelationship, their demands are more, their needs are more, they are different, and it does conflict with business all the time. All the time always personality and business personality itself has (?) including the owner.
So if you ever think firing is the way, have a firing department. Court-martial everybody... I don't know why one has to fire or hire anybody. I think it's all smooth, it goes up. Somebody has fired these pills and I am going to hire them. (?). It takes years to become special.

YB: Capital raising; few basic fundamentals. First is the spread most important. What you have is called commodity. Then what that commodity has in relation to the market; one thing we forget about that in that we do not also associate our management abilities, capabilities, our experience and all that with it. But if you spread it properly and paint it well, give it to anyone in money they will go for it. It's called profile. Business profile, of the business, subject; that's the first initial thing you must prepare very well and at length. If you ever want to talk about capital raising capital is a different story. That's what it is. First you must know what you have, how you have it, what it can do for you, what it can do for others, what are the checks and balances, what is the security, what is the collateral security, what is the possible, what the Wall Street said, what the business journal says, whole thing. If you make the whole packet right, scheme will work. Forget about collateral.

And promise not, people, which you cannot deliver. Because you can take one chance, second time nobody will trust you. My, my idea is very simple in business, blow up everything but don't blow up the trust of somebody. It hurts deeper. Talks spread faster and bad will overcomes you like a avalanche. Don't do it ever. There are lot of people in the world who wants to share with you, if they understand, you are a solid person, you look solid, that's fine. You are solid practice, it's fine, if the business is solid and your habits are solid, they will go for it.
Business is done for nothing but security. Give the spread and the security, you got the capital, bank will give it to you. Because what bank wants? Bank wants to invest the money. But they want to invest it, on a very, solid grounds, Bank of America invested in third world country, oil (?), Bank of America doesn't know what it go. But if oil would not have (?), bank of America was eating up everything.
All our Americans banking is in trouble. Have you seen this saving and loan? There is lot of money promising everything. They couldn't play which money market could play. They couldn't, they went flat, plus they were orthodox institutes. They prostituted the public money, the President, the Chairman decided to do this and buy this and invested the way they like in a business market, they have to invest everyday, hour to hour, time to time, trend to trend, feeling to feeling, impulse to impulse.
In a business, if you are not touched with the impulse of the money market you are out. If nothing, at least watch CNN and Dollar and Cents they always bring that one minute, it's a, one-minute show, Dollar and Cents. Watch it three times a day. You will know what is happening. They don't say dollar and cent. They say dollar and cents. What is going on in the money market, what the trends are, what is happening, you got to know. It seems, thee, you have been absolutely no business problem at all. Because you are talking in abstracts, we want to deal dialogue and we want to deal problems. Yeah.

YB: It depends upon business and it's your management strength and normally business after three years should stop increasing at the rate of twenty percent. It is a very incumbent. Net. Net growth. Good news is good business must give you twenty percent net, every year. If you are, very slow businessman. Normally in business trouble is sometime we spread to thin, sometime we don't move at all, these are the two handicaps we have. Either too slow, I mean the mountain is up there, we put in the fourth gear. We won't make it. Mountain is up there, you got to go in first gear. We are doing down the hill, you got to get into the first gear again and you end up in fourth gear, you make an accident.
You have to go with the transmission of the trend and trend must be predicted, it's called marketing. Marketing nothing but predictable possibilities of the future, present and past, total history of it, it gives you the geography of business which we never in 3HO invest anytime on it. It's surprising without marketing every business organization has survived, this old 3HO, businesses. May be we are intuitive who knows, we know it all, we don't have to work on ourself (?). Otherwise, I don't, I practically see no reason why we are doing what we are doing. Some of the people are very individual. Some people are absolutely obnoxiously individual. They miss so many opportunity and chances you can't believe it, sometime we are extremely scared and very slow, who to trust, who not to trust. But good business can make a lot of good twenty percent and if it is not doing, consult. Ask for help.
You know when I got sick, I wanted to consolidate businesses, make it because you know one day I have to go, I should leave whole thing in a good, good hands and everything should be nice and bah, bah, bah. God I met such a resistance you can't even believe. I got beaten over my head, beaten under this, I was not even asking I said, I was just asking some business to put their scene together. Who is this, who is that, why this, why that, when we, when we not. Finally I said, wait a minute, we have to ultimately survive, we are the people, we can't survive in corners. We got to sow it together. And I am not going to be here forever. Let us know our weakness and strength today. We can't wait for tomorrow. YB: Well, you must understand, sometime you do a business where you have too much imaginative and very less practical homework has been done. And sometime you are, so much with the like of it and love of it. You don't want to let it move. Both are tragedies. Common tragedies. These are called unfair human practices. I am always willing to take a thirty percent loss on a gross of a individual because I know they are not going to come through, they are not going to make it, I always in my planning always set it in, from the day one. You understand what I mean? Well, I don't expect a person to get nine o'clock and perform by five o'clock with a missionary zeal and if one performs with a missionary zeal he is not going to put thirty blunders into it, I don't believe that. So I am ready to be cut both ways. Simple as that. I know the person is honest, he want to work, he want to produce and everything and I also know while doing so he is going to make lot of tickets(?), violation tickets, I know that or the person is so slow, I have to hire a China man to push him to keep on going but that's a net thirty percent. Otherwise, you know the way I am a businessman, if we start exactly way I want it, we would have taken all over one third of United States. What a business deal, we are committed people, we have good product, we have good people and we want to live well. What else you need in business? Nothing. You want to know our problems? If you are stupid we'll not know it, we will hear it, so tell us before that, you are labeled. So we can find a solution. If you have done something wrong, let us correct it. Be manly about it. Let us know. But if you sell your bill of good that you are perfect, I don't know anything what is, who is perfect. I know I have a fair idea what a business is, I know how to do it but I just put four, five people, come on, let's discuss it. It always, come out to be fine.

Quackery is not business and emotional nonsense doesn't make any sense. It is just like that, somebody wanted to go and meet the President of the bank. In the business world, there is a world itself, you play in it, play with a smile or you don't belong to it. World is very cutthroat. My professional opinion is if you cannot make in 3HO you cannot make it anywhere, here is still there is a compassion, still there is a kindness, we communicate and here you do so many goofy things. And your process is very personal. Outside there, if you... here if you prosper everybody loves it, oh great, they will, they will accept you. Over there if you prosper they pull your both legs.
Somebody once in a business, I am not going to mention it but many of you may know, I had somebody oh, la, la, la, la, he is called me. I said, "Watch out with this guy."
"How come?. His profile is this, his personality is this."
I said, "Look, with this kind of profile and personality, the guy has come to you on this salary, it's impossible to believe. There is something either he is not telling you or you are not aware, look deep into it."

So, we are not uptight with you, we just want to not give you sale of goods, we are just trying to tell you, we want one thing, we want businesses to be business like and we want to run them like businesses with your emotions and without your emotions. The loan and the investment is not only just in figures, in money, it's also in personality, in public relation, in moral, in social, that's why all these people do charities and they do all other goofy things which they really don't have to, but you know, some people rich enough they buy a football team, for what? Do you know, some people have football teams they never watch? So a big deal. (?) so many million dollars in game, just for them it's a betting, nothing else.

The effectiveness your human capital relates to the interest you pay to your business.
