... The music is played.

You know those fifteen minutes, seventeen minutes are the most fortunate minutes. Those who participate to chant call on God and GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. feel happy. Are the people, this is a very rear blessing you don't get it every time. There is a one word, from now onwards I am going to work and search and spiritual vocabularies and I like to explain to you so that you can have these for you and for your children.

There is a very beautiful concept called BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . This concept of Banais not only with the Sikh religion but it has been very much used by the Sikh religion. It does exist with Christianity in the concept of will of God. Will of God concept is very prominent in Christianity, thy will be done, or do thy will, it's God's will, may the God's will be done. Beyond and before that when you go to the Judaism or Jewish religion God's will, that's God's command, God's promise, God's word is very prominent. It's not uncommon.

Even you come to the utmost of the Shinto religion which is in the Japan and china in these days, mostly it is Japan's official religion. That everything is life and every life is the will of God, therefore you can talk to every life, you can listen to every life, you can feel to every life, you can talk, command understand all that. Now, these are the existing relationships which we understand and we go through. But in the Sikh religion the word BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. has a very special meaning, its concept is very human. God is always a man, PurkhaPurkha The great Being of existence. , nucleus. You think it's an attribute, I think it's an attitude, it's not an attribute to call God PurkhaPurkha The great Being of existence. , it's attitude. Because then everything else is called PrakritiPrakriti Transcendental Nature. It is creation as we can experience it. It includes mind and matter. It is formed from the motion and interaction of the gunas. It is multi-leveled and evolved from the original consciousness of the Absolute. . All creativity of male and a female is nothing but the creation. So in another word one is creator, masculine form and one is creation the female form. So it is not who is superior and who is inferior, it is actually the attitude of compliment and supplement. That's why those marriages where who is inferior and who is superior they will never workout. Because when you say in a marriage who is superior and who is inferior actually what you are saying is that I deny the natural law. Now God is merciful I agree but Mother Nature is not.

Take it as granted, when you will clash with a natural law you will be ruined, nobody can protect you, because from mother nature you can reach God, God is merciful, forgive you that's fine but what about mother nature? She is going to get you on the way. If you reach San Francisco you will be alive but if you die at (?) what you are going to do? So, basically the law of Mother Nature should not come in conflict with your ego. If it comes in conflict with your ego you can't make it. So in relevant term if you try to understand there is a very beautiful concept, BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . It's a very compliment and supplement human consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. which exists, it is not the will of God exactly the way you feel it. Though it actually means that way, BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. means acceptance with pleasure and happiness and joy the happening as creativity of God presents it. The sound of pavo, pavo is the devotional acceptance. BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. , the one who accepts the devotional acceptance. Accepting God's will under pressure, under stress, under strain, under negativity is different.

There are two types of spiritual people on the world, directive, and elective. Some people get elected, people like them. He is such and such saint, he is such and such President, he is such and such secretary, he is such and such missionary, he is such and such, they are called elected people, people put them up. People like them, people talk about them.

But the other part is directive, these are those whose insight directs them to keep doing God's will, nobody elect them. The difference between an elective and directive will be, the man who will be elective will be a preacher. He will care for people, he will listen to them, he will talk to them, he will try to save his skin if that has to be, he'll try to be mild and compromising and he will try to manure things around things if. In other words why should I hurt anybody, that is the attitude. But a teacher will go all the way to hurt first because it will be instinct in him let me hurt him before the time does it. It's a very, very special feeling, very few people can handle it, very few people.

I had the privilege to live with one of such a teacher. And it is my great pride to be a student of such a man. Amazingly one day we took the cold bath and I did not towel myself properly which is ordinarily you all do. After cold shower not toweling your body perfectly is the greatest sin possibly you can do to your physical body. And it is against God's will. You must so that the circulatory balance of the system may be balanced to the proper exposure. So that when you meditate you may be in the cherdi kalaa rather get sick. So usually now we were young people, naughty.

(Students' laughter...)

So I took a bath and you know that old habit like a disciplined academy habit in fifty minutes you have to be in the ground. So I looked at it, I was seven minutes late in my wake up, I was lazy. I just curled around, I am just going to get up, just wait, why don't you go first, I am coming after you?

(Students' laughter...)

So those kind of things, so later on I realized I am pretty seven minutes late, so I jumped up went in got under a shower, ourlrlrlrrl, oh SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. (Students' laughter...)

You know the kind of shower you take. So that day I took that kind of shower everybody was surprised so I toweled myself that way too. One towel left, one towel right, one round the neck, one round the waist and little on the thighs and I was perfect. You know that kind of stuff, change my this, change my this, put my this, put my this, put my big blanket over bigger blanket over and just like a cone coming.

(Students' laughter...)

I mean I am not telling you something which I never did in my life, I did all that what you do, that's why I have all the sympathy for you.

(Students' laughter...)

I didn't became Sikh because I was born in a Sikh family, I became Sikh because I learned to be a Sikh, I practiced it, I know what it is. There is a difference between me and all the people. I learnt it really as a science, I didn't learn it just as a joke.

So, I went and I satSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. down and I closed my eyes and we started chanting and meditating and all that but that day was different, nothing was getting together. I said, "Oh my God what is this? Little freaking in taking a bath should not bother, I am a great yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. ," so I put myself I started breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. , so I was out of tune, everybody else was doing something I was doing breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. to tune up and my teacher came on me. And he looked at, he said, "Get up, take off all these blankets, stand naked on that corner."

And I said, "Sir, do you know what you are doing to me?"

He said, "Yeah, I am trying to kill you officially."

(Students' laughter...)

"I don't want to take the burden of it, but I want you to die."

I said, "Okay if you want that really?"

He said, "Yeah."

He said, "That person should die who cannot towel his body properly."

(Students' laughter...)

So you get there and you stand there and you do your number breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. I know you are a yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. , I know you, but I also know what yoga is. You must not have taken properly bath and you must not have properly toweled yourself that's why now you are compensating because you are freaking out.

I said, "That's true."

He said, "Out that corner."

He took away all my blankets and you know with a shirt and underwear and SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Sat Naam , Sat Nam The essence or seed embodied in form; the identity of truth. When used as a greeting it means "I greet and salute that reality and truth which is your soul." It is also referred to as the Word. and little turban on your head you really feel good about that turban and little that Kutchera.

(Students' laughter...)

Little Kutchera at that time, under a sub zero temperature in one corner you are asked to stand alone.

And I said, "What should I do?" I asked myself

I said, "There are two ways," one is to really have a pneumonia and die because the guy is not going to give my blankets, I can't run away because he is going to send few boys after me and they are going to stick me in so what should I do? I started march time march with a breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. .

(Students' laughter...)

And just to protect myself I really sweated. And almost when I sweated and I was very warm he said, "Bhajan, come and sit down have your blanket and meditate."

That day meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. I still remember, it was fantastic, it was worth it. I was grateful that I didn't towel myself.

(Students' laughter...)

But I was more grateful that I had a wonderful teacher. He was hard, he was merciful that is why God to compensate became merciful to me. And God is very merciful to me today. If there is a built in character in me, it's a built in character in me you just try to understand what teachings can do to you that I can die but I shall fight even in my dead body. I can't give in. And you tell me anything how convincingly you tell me, if you dare to tell me anything against anybody I have automatic antennas in me I'll block you. I look very attentive, I listen to negativity when people talk to me, but you can never make it to me.

I was analyzing today I am an orphan, I am an orphan of the extent that I have no friends, no peer group, nothing. All I have my God and GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. . So if you can humor me or tell me the Vadeyaaee or the greatness of the will of the God, not in the acceptance of the force of the God's will. Thy will is so sweet to me my lord, I ask for a humble, a holy name the gift of holy name. And some people are making a mess of this holy name. Holy name is a holy name, holy name is not subject to any technology whether you do it with the breath, or you do it a long chant or you do in a three and half cycle or in a two and half cycle. Those are labels. That's why to all our people here every different person has a different lung capacity, different bronchiole capacity. You may not be in a position to do NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." Like some people like rosary.

They say, "Without rosary everything is zero."

And I have seen a person in state of ecstasy and his rosary was clap,

Hallelujah, hallelujah, what is wrong with that? His clap was the rhythm, his chant was perfect, his state of conscious was great, his auraAura The radiant field of energy and consciousness that surrounds the physical body and which holds and organizes the seven centers of energy called chakras. Its strength, measured by brightness and radius, determines the vitality, mental concerns, and psychophysical integrity of a person. was perfect and he was better than the hundred people who were saintly in their monk hood chanting with their rosary. Though scientifically rosary or mala is a very great stimulant and it's a perfect science to bring your attention to name of God. And some people do it with keertan. One who cannot suit with any situation, he can take a harmonium or any instrument and can tune up the rhythm and in that rhythm he can go deeper and deeper, because music can help you to go deeper into the situation of relating to name of God or to state of ecstasy of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. But after all if you want to look to all that and that is the purpose of life then you must not do as a harassment. Lot of people are not ready for many ready stages. Lot of people even do not know here what is a spiritual teacher. Spiritual teacher lives in heart, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. lives in a head, and God lives in auraAura The radiant field of energy and consciousness that surrounds the physical body and which holds and organizes the seven centers of energy called chakras. Its strength, measured by brightness and radius, determines the vitality, mental concerns, and psychophysical integrity of a person. in the radiance there should be God, the infinity. These are the unique saintly ways of that freedom which we all can enjoy. What is happening in America is we are some people who have dedicated ourselves to God's will, our heart and mind and soul seek to be redeemed because it is God's will. It is not that we build it, we have been guided by circumstances and environments by our inner calling to God's will. We have the greatest attribute and we have to contribute to this society one thing that by living a way of life, by living the life of DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. we can cut off karmaKarma The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action. . And that experiment which you all are undergoing to go should prove to the generations to follow and the people who live around us that you under all circumstances can live happy and that is what BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. means. When you have hundred percent opportunities of temptation and temptation does not mean only that somebody can give you diamond ring and that's a temptation. Sometime can give you spiritual experience that is temptation too. Temptation is temptation whichever way it is. Temptation is asking for anything more than you can do or handle. That's why in spiritual world you should learn to be spiritual. There are lots of people who wants these days for hundred dollars or eighty dollars they want to be initiated into higher consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. .

I remember once I told a person I said, "How you feel?"

He said, "Oh sir I met some such person I am very enlightened."

I said, "What happened to you? Lightning came on you?"

He said, "No, I have been enlightened."

I said, "Okay can we sit few minutes and understand what is how much enlightened you are?"

He said, "Just I got enlightened, I saw a huge light in my brain it was white light."

I said, "Oh somebody pressed your eyes."

He said, "Yes, yes, yes."

I said, "Well, I can do it."

"Oh no, sir you can't do it. He only..."

I said, "Sit down."

I did it so hard that after four five minutes I said, "How are you looking at?"

He said, "Still the light is going on."

(Students' laughter...)

I said, "It is nothing, it is optical nerve, if you press it in the center cone of the balls and at your retina of the eyes press it back naturally you feel a huge burst of white light in the brain, center of the brain."

But I said, "Don't let anybody else do it, sometime it can totally flip out and you can see two people coming instead of one."

So these kind of things or some people get a kind of tingling in the spine, it's a very wonderful feeling, it's called kampan, it happens you start little shaky at the base of your spinal and it goes on and on up to the head and it's a kind warm milk going through you.

Or have you seen sometime you take an ice cream very cold and it goes through the food pipe and the whole area of the ribcage clots up in pain but you enjoy that pain.

(Students' laughter...)

Because you know it is the ice cream it's nothing else.

(Students' laughter...)

You understand what I mean? I know lot of people do that and sometime they gulp it because Yogiji walked into the room. So the whole bulb of that cold sub zero ice cream going through into the stomach. So you are enlightened in the stomach you are enlightened in the whole way and you are enlightened on the throat. So I have seen some people doing that therefore I remember this kind of enlightenment is not what something which you can handle, something which you can create, something you can experience. You can learn the technology of it, that's why Gurubani keertan is a way to that. It's a very, it's a sehej way, it's a very slow way to reach, to stage of BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. .

Why Gurubani is most useful than anything else? Because Gurubani is one scripture in the world where analogy is drawn from living things, it is drawn from animals and humans. There is no mythology in the analogy of Gurubani therefore it is so practical, it is so realistic to the human mind that the concept reaches right and sounds right, that's why if you can sing the Gurubani in music the rhythm of the NaadNaad The inner sound that is subtle and all-present. It is the direct expression of the Absolute. Meditated upon, it leads into a sound current that pulls the consciousness into expansion. is so perfect it can take you to the stage of ecstasy but on the other hand it has the greatest capacity and that is that you can learn those analogies for reference and for remembrance and then at anytime when you are tested they can come handy to you. In other words, it can say what GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. says. Suppose you are lazy, I am giving you an example and you want some job to be done, then analogy can come to you,

"Apni athi apna, aapay kaaj savariye"

With your own hands you must complete your own work perfectly. Ahh GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. said it let's get up, because you must understand in Siri GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It is the state of the karta purak, the being with the supreme being doer of everything that acceptance and that will give you in character the state of innocence.

Sometime in America since I have come ten years ago I have been accused of one thing, why I don't react? It's a very great acquisition even my staff is very much these days very tired with me.

They say, "Sir, you don't react, I mean what is going on, you should react?"

I am being told again and again well why don't you, why should not you react in the situation?

My state of mind is all right we'll react, definite, let us plan it and in planning six months will pass and then when it comes to reaction I say, all right wait six months that means year is passed and then I say, all right let us try to talk this man into it rather than reacting to him then another year will pass. It is not that I am a coward and I do not understand the American instance that you must react. Every action must have reaction and you must react. I don't react because I believe somebody else will be taking care of it. That's why I don't react. I don't want to look good and I don't care to look bad. My life is very simple, if I look bad to you then you must hate me and if you ever going to find a reason why you hate me then you will be liberated anyway. It's so simple. All you have to find a reason for two things why you love me, and why you hate me? And both things will take you to one thing then why should I react? But I do say things because my compassion forces me to say things before the banaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. overtakes you. So that what is going to happen is the will of God. But if you are prepared to accept the will of God it will be easy on you. That is my concept of life and this is not a concept of my life, this is a concept of all those who are sitting here and they are calling themselves teachers. They have to do the same thing. Teacher cannot afford to react. Reaction should not be in the concept of the teacher. You cannot react, you can receive and you may not receive you can reject, but you cannot react. Because everything what is happening is the beautiful sweet will of God, if somebody is negative to you then you learn what negativity is and how you can remedy it. If somebody is positive to you is you must learn what positivity is and how do not fall into it.

Somebody can take you to a snake pit by just making you to look very positive. Like a lion, he went to everybody who is the king of the jungle? Everybody said, "You."

When he went to a rabbit, "Who is the king of the jungle?

He said, "I know who is that not you."

He said, "Why not?"

He said, "Follow me, are you really great?"

He said, "Yes."

"Do you really know how to leap?"

He said, "Yes."

"Can you go down and come up?"

He said, "Don't you know I am king, I am the mightiest animal? You little thing, what are you talking about?"

He said, "Come with me."

He told him, he took him to a well in the jungle, he said, "Come on the edge and look down."

He looked.

He said, "Roar."

He roared and that you know the well roared back ten times.

He said, "Look down there is a lion down there."

He said, "Yeah."

He said, "That lion is the king of the jungle king."

He said, "How you know?"

He said, "He talks to me, he told me to tell you, that's what I was talking to you."

Lion got angry jumped right into the well, never came back.

(Students' laughter...)

So, little bunny played on the ego of this big lion and showed him the water lion down stair and got him into it. So sometime people can tell you, you are a very good saint, you are wonderful, you are perfect, you are great yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. , you are a great Sikh, you are a great Khalsa and can take you in the edge of well, that's called ego, homey and can provoke you to the point that you can jump into something which can be a snake pit. Because,

"Homey Da Navey Naal Virodh Hai"

Ego has absolutely animosity with God's will, with God's name. So people who want to walk on a spiritual path have to learn to practice the concept of BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. is a very devotional term, its concept is very unique and it is a contribution of ones own acknowledged state of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. in which he accepts these words and the movement of these words in time and space. Some people like to con other people, they want to cheat people, some people doubt other people, some people slander other people, they do all this to satisfy their concept of ego. Now that's not right, because your concept of ego comes from a very limited individual and limited individual cannot do a lot, you can create waves against somebody, you can talk negative things against somebody, but BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. itself is the ultimate hand of God acted by the mother universe and it always come to you in good faith to receive it as a reservation is not fair. If Jesus Christ would not have been nailed on the cross, I am just asking you one word. Could anybody would have asked him Christ?

Suppose when he was put in the jail that night he would have got a typhoid and he would have died. Would he become what he is today?

Suppose he was taken away from the garden under arrest a cobra would have bit him and he would have died, would he become a Jesus Christ? Sometime the pain, the tragedy, the torture of a certain state of mind. Leader you sing that song, leader cannot be made with a stroke of pen, what is that line?

Student: Leader made by sacrifice.

YB: Leader made by sacrifice and not by stroke of pen. You cannot entitle yourself to any infinity without giving an infinite sacrifice. And on the path of sacrifice we start at the first stage, first stage to the path of sacrifice to the greathood to the path of door of God is BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. .

We'll continue and may the longtime time sunshine...

The class sings: "May the long time sunshine upon you..."

Blessed one it was thy will, it was thy sweet will that we all gathered together in prayer to be blessed, to be healthy, happy and holy. May thy mercy take us to that realm of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. My obligation is to try to finish twice a week, your obligation is try to come. So in case you are thinking that you are supposed to come on Thursday and you couldn't come tomorrow that's not a bad idea do what you have to do, but I have to do what I have to do. I hope today and tomorrow this beautiful rain will bring you very happy opening of heart and mind and I hope you will be somehow taking a time to do SadhanaSadhana , Saadhana A spiritual discipline; the early morning practice of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. The Aquarian Sadhana can be an individual or group practice; Ideally, it includes the recitation of Japji Sahib, a Kundalini Yoga kriya, and chanting the Aquarian Sadhana meditations, immediately followed by Gurdwara. According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting. so that you can be a complete human being during the beating of the day and perhaps sometime you can understand God lives with you and you live with God rather than to be a idiot and totally living like a ape who is sensual, sexual, greedy, and lives in the ugliness of dust. And sometime perhaps we can clean our pig head to become an angel so that we can understand that this a lifetime chance that God has made us human why not to be a saint, thank you.
