: Yes. Student: When and why, how sudden did you
decide to become Sikh. ShaktiShakti

: Okay, that's a good question. First
of all, I was very anti-religion and I didn't really decide to. When I met YogiYogi

Bhajan,
(?) and then he was a Sikh, so he would tell us stories about the GurusGuru

and I found that
I got very inspired (?) the story particularly Baba Deep Singh, I remember first hearing
that story of him, you know throwing his head and all the courage and it was just very inspiring
to me. But, as time passed I was doing SadhanaSadhana

And shaving my legs but I was (?) other than that I already was a vegetarian primarily
but YogiYogi

Bhajan had an interesting way of teaching and he knew that if he told me to
go this way, I'll go that way, so he would send me out to get my hair cut. At first,
I had very, very short hair, short curly hair like my son and I once were waiting and little
before I met YogiYogi

Bhajan, I was selling you donuts and not that there is anything illegal

you order (?) lady said, 'What would you boys like.'
Then I decided that I better do something about my hair. But anyway, he would lecture
and talk about what, you know, what hair does and how it converts the sunlight to vitamin

parents, you know, or in that group and I thought they were totally crazy and they thought
I was totally upset, (?) both made you (?) but YogiYogi

(Student's laughter) And Berkeley as you may or may not know in

probably even more so than Los Angeles, there was (?). So anyway up there was called the

and five Indian Sikhs were there giving amritAmrit

and everybody in this
group was going to take amritAmrit

. Meanwhile when YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan would perform a
marriage ceremony, I was always (?) reading peace lagoon and I just liked everything,
first of all when he told me that Sikhs worship truth, that sounded pretty good to me. Because
that to me was the highest virtue and the highest value because that's what my mother
used to teach us when we were kids, she said kids (?).
What you do, if you break something (?) get into trouble as long you don't lie about it,
so I was never afraid to tell the truth, which is very rare I understand; very rare commodity,
then I never knew how different everybody else's childhood has been from mine and I
just have a whole different background, I was born in a different century practically.
But anyway, what he said the Sikhs worship truth, I (?) far out and you earn righteously,
well, I am used to earning my own living, I went to work when I was thirteen. Everything
just seem to sit. In other words, the Sikh way of life made sense to me, there was nothing
in it that was contrary to what my personal belief system had been.
But I didn't definitely did not want to cover my head and he never told me to, never. But
in the beginning of 3HO actually people started covering their heads and then one day he was
kind of disturbed because somebody (?) thought should cover their head, well (?) I thought
well, I'll just give it a try and I went home and put a turban on andI kind of liked it
and I was tying it real funny, (?) do with the thing hanging out and people would come
over to me and they say, you know, (?), I like it that way.
(Student's laughter) I don't know why, I think (?) so as memories
and I really believe that we each you know is nothing happens by accident, our souls
know we belong here but then the soul has to battle with your mind and it has to battle
with your emotions and it has to battle with all of the culture that, can't call it culture
for God sake, not in America but the lack of culture here. And it's like you swimming
upstream and everybody else is going the other way because that (?) suited me. Because I
have always felt different, and I think many people in 3HO have had that feeling at least
the first generation that we had all the ones that are now in their forties and are starting
to get to be fifty, it's very funny because I was not quite forty when I met the Siri
Singh Sahib who was there and just the Yog, or YogiYogi

and I had found it to be very beautiful and the vibration was just very inspiring. But
that morning I had a stomachache, couldn't wait to get out to get out of (?) to the bathroom,
I had washed my hair, I was cold, I was miserable and here I was waiting for my turn, you know

Fateh,' because I was (?) over the syllables, didn't know what they were going to come out
and I really prayed very hard that it wouldn't be just a ritual because I, I just don't like

ceremony and was in, it was very unpleasant but then he spoke about how would you take

not you anymore, you have given your head to the GuruGuru

and I can't say, I had remembered

's problem and having a spiritual teacher like YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan is like nothing else
on this planet. Because very sweetly for some of us and very bombastically for others, he
puts each individual through what that individual needs. And with me, he always has been on
the surface very polite, very graceful, after all, I am two months older than he is, so
he is strict. But (?) from underneath and when I start to get out of line, he would
just very diplomatically either not answer me, would not speak to me, or whatever it
was and' So you kind of get the idea that it doesn't
matter, you know, he can make you feel which is part of the teacher's job is to get you
ego out of the way, it doesn't matter if you feel like you are worthless. because that's
when you say, 'Okay, God, you made me this way.' So it's, it's a very relaxing thing
to be a Sikh. So I took the amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
but the result of that was very real and that was
what was impressive to me was that although the actual day of the ceremony but there was
something that happened (?) like I felt I was walking on air for weeks afterward, there
was just, because the vibration is real. You, GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.

and you, you make that

and they stir and put them, everything is
vibration and when you drink those that sacred amritAmrit

, something definitely happens. The other
thing that impressed me a lot during that and afterwards too. And I had always had wondered
about this because there are amritdhari Sikhs those who have taken amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
, and there is those
who have not and I have never liked the idea of anybody walking around thinking they are
better than somebody else, I mean, we all have different talents and different ability
but I have such a sense of gratitude that I had come home.
That's why I don't feel whatever, how should I say, oh certainly would not convert, it's
just like you rediscover your identity through this ceremony but I didn't feel like well
this made me superior because I had taken amritAmrit

or and even try me. So there is somebody who has been through
some of these things. I was just, I have been thinking about all of you a lot and wondering
is it ever going to be that each generation is going to be a little more willing to learn
from somebody else's experience or do we all have to go through making the same stupid

don't have the same opportunities which you had when your were fifteen but nobody can

you chose them, nobody did it to you. It is do it yourself, creation and the thing is
I was fortunate that I learned it. Astrology shows you problems but yoga is the
way to solve them. And in my understanding Yoga at that time was what I learned in Vedanta

just start reading, so I start reading the first few lines and I said, I am not interested,
closed it up. That's what I was at and he never bothered

singing, belching it out, so I started doing that because there was nobody around.
(Student's laughter) And I started finding that as I, each day
I would go to work, God, I was getting so mellow, I mean, I used to be upset three or
four times a day everyday. When I met the Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib
Honorary title given to Yogi Bhajan to indicate his role as spiritual leader of Sikh Dharma in the West. His complete title within Sikh Dharma is Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji.
, I would say I must have
cried at least twice a day, I don't know what for, I was a mess, but I didn't know what
I thought I was fine and everybody else was messed up but I, I found it by getting those
vibrations from the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
into my being, even thought the translation was not that great,
I wasn't reading in Gurmukhi then, I was changing. And that to me is what has been important
that the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
is a tool, especially for anybody who has emotional ups and down, if you just
sit there and just recite the word, the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.

it, okay. Let me tell you something funny, you know me, right.
When I will enter a Temple or a GurdwaraGurdwara

, first of all the speaker will stop speaking.
I was a religious terror, I was a rebel number one and don't you misunderstand that I am
very great to you, you are nothing. The people whom ten million people will bow in the morning
will find me out and ask my religious counsel. It was not that here you know you play football
of me here and there, I am good or I am bad and while I was a commanding officer, I have
seen, I never recruited anybody in my unit under five foot, eight inches, doesn't matter
what it means. And I have seen people with forty five inches chest, standing straight
before me and their pants getting wet. And I was not what you know me now, I was known
as a YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Baba. My superior worshipped me and my inferior loved me. And I have heard
only two words in my life, yes sir, thank you sir. Never heard of word before that and
after that. You know what I mean? Student: Yes sir.
YB: It was a hand of luck of God that I have got posted to Amritsar, I went to Golden Temple

like a rock. We were living a life, I wish you should never have to live in a dream.

I come back we will be again, again. My children will go to school with lot of home guards,
it was a life you can't believe, I want to live again. But it was then, you know (?) creating
things and destroying things and making person go upside down and it was just nothing for
me, I left it there because I realized, this planet is that of God and without GuruGuru

MantarAntar
, Bantar
, Jantar
, Mantar
, Tantar
, Patantar
, Sotantar
These describe the sequence of creative expression from inner essence to full manifestation. Antar is the inner essence and being. It is before form. Each essence has an associated structure in time and space, a dimension to it, bantar. This structure is fulfilled by an appropriate matching set of qualities, jantar, which has a unique sound resonance, mantar, and a distinct visual form, yantar. This form and energy interrelate to the universe, tantar, creating a projection and track as it threads through time and space, patantar, until finally achieving its liberated form, beyond time and space, sotantar. This form creates a neutral point that ties together many of the polarities inherent in Prakirti to embed and express the essence of the antar in creation.
and you have Siri GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
GranthGranth
Literally: knot: book.
as your
GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
. Now, how this book becomes the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
? Have
you ever asked this question? Students: No sir.
YB: This book which you call as Siri GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
to which you bow is written in a permutation
and combination, in which a intercourse happen and pregnancy happens and child is delivered
and that is, you have a hypothalamus on the upper palate and your tongue touches the eighty-four
meridian point when you read GurbaniGurbani
Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
, it is in that permutation and combination. And when
hypothalamus is stimulated by that recitation, it immediately affects the neurons and the
pineal which is the controlling nucleus center of our brain, it radiates clockwise and anti-clockwise
and it commands the pituitary which commands the other glandular system to create a chemistry
of the blood to give you the power of ecstasy and acknowledgement of Infinity.
So when you recite that, it works on the meridian points and that recitation does the work.
After all, if you have a man as a GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
or a holy man as a GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
, his words are words,
those words you hear. When you hear the inner, inner, inner ear of your, it has two side
bones and one hammer bone, it creates the signal through which your brain concludes
the concept and the conception and the reality of it, you understand that, you understand.
By listening and hearing perfectly you develop in your brain to formulate, translate, project,
procure, play the totality of the reality in the meaning of that word, in reciting you
conquer the total projection of yours and understand the penetration to which the shield
of another person, radiant shield cannot defend self, this is the simple science, it is not
something you don't have to understand. You have to understand and experience it and that's
all about. It is a science which you must know.
In a recitation there is a permutation and combination in which your excitement will
become real and your penetration of your presence will become perfect and that's very important
because you are what you can move, you are not what you are and you are what you can
see and if you see beyond what you see (?) to ordinary man then you are a special person.
If you can move what is impossible to move, then you are a victor. It is the knowledge
and the science and the practical projection of a victor. Let me tell you an experience,
all right, are we ready. Students: Yes sir.
YB: All right, just go by this; I Love You, speak.
Students: I Love You. YB: You said it?
Students: Yes sir. YB: You understand it?
Student: No sir, YB: No, say it again, I'
Students: I Love You. YB: Arey you kisses and hugs in your dreams
and all that nonsense, why can't you just speak it as best you can and just let us see
what we are getting at, because I am going to trip you into a trick that you'll never
be the same, so in a very simple way, I am going to do it, I want you to just co-operate
and see whether it's true or not. Why you have to add unnecessarily, I am Siri Singh
Sahib and I am this Sahib and that Sahib, who knows who the hell I am, let us see what
happens right now, okay. Alert yourself, come to alert, alert, come to alert, let's experience,
let us, let's play it right. Okay, you love or not you have to look towards me, hey, my
boy, you are lonely? Student: (-----)
YB: Tired? Student: No,
YB: You want to eat and sleep at the same time, that's okay, who will be finishing soon,
don't worry. This will be very interesting, it will excite you, make you everybody horny
anyway, don't, (Student's laughter)
Nothing is going to go wrong, okay. Oh, yeah, I will just, make your glandular system just
push little bit and you will be fine. But it will be difficult night, that's okay too.
Hah, I, I' Students: I,
YB: I, Students: I,
YB: Love, Students: Love,
YB: Love, Students: Love,
YB: Touch the upper palate with the tip of your tongue. I,
Students: I, YB: Love,
Students: Love, YB: You,
Students: You. (Student's laughter)
YB: You feel it. Let us do it little better, okay. I,
Students: I, YB: Okay, made the I not just precede like
this, make it like wide, okay. I, Students: I,
YB: And then go upper there, sting it in, love,
Students: Love, YB: Love, Love,
Students: Love, YB: I,
Students: I, YB: Love,
Students: Love, YB: You.
Students: You. YB: You,
Students: You. YB: You,
Students: You. YB: It's not what you speak, it is how you
speak, it is not the gun and the bullet, it's the caliber. It's the caliber. If you know
how to recite Siri GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
GranthGranth

, you will have a definite caliber and you will never miss
the target. May I, may I' Students: May I,
YB: May I, Students: May I.
YB: It's very sexy, come on, (Student's laughter)
Oh, yeah, yeah, it immediately get to gonads. May I,
Students: May I, YB: May I,
Students: May I, YB: Please,
Students: Please, YB: Please,
Students: Please, YB: This a please, it is just like slapping
somebody face. May I, Students: May I,
YB: Please, Students: Please,
(Student's laughter) YB: Can you,
Student: Can you, YB: Listen to me,
Students: Listen to me, (Student's laughter)
YB: You know how to act, why you are so shy, come on, let's do it. You will, you will not
sleep after that, I know. I really miss you. Students: I really miss you.
(Student's laughter) YB: I didn't do my Ph.D. because I jot out
few papers, I, I really worked hard for it and it was difficult subject and I understood
because you know I studied in Sacred Heart Convent and it's very Catholic order and I
just that John in the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God
and then I read GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
Guru Nanak
First Guru of the Sikhs.
NanakGuru Nanak
First Guru of the Sikhs.
, 'Akhri NamNaam
, Nam
The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word.
Akhri Salah, Akhri''
I was very surprised it is the same thing and I wanted to find out what it is.
May I, Students: May I,
YB: May I, Students: May I,
YB: Be with you? Students: Be with you?
YB: If you cut the gap the person will fall in it. Question is move the auraAura
The radiant field of energy and consciousness that surrounds the physical body and which holds and organizes the seven centers of energy called chakras. Its strength, measured by brightness and radius, determines the vitality, mental concerns, and psychophysical integrity of a person.
, question
is not move the person. You talk people emotionally, you destroy your energy, you destroy the other
person. They are very self-destructive; that's not the way to talk and majority of us do
not know how to speak. But if you learn the dialogue you can be were willing, such as,
I have something to say, I have something to say,
Students: I have something to say, YB: I have,
Students: I have, YB: Do it (?) see the body language with it,
I have, Students: I have,
YB: Something to say, Students: Something to say,
YB: I have, Students: I have,
YB: Something to say, Students: Something to say,
YB: I have, Students: I have,
YB: Something to say, Students: Something to say,
YB: You do this way, say anything you get it. I have,
Students: I have, YB: Something to say,
Students: Something to say, YB: There is so much curiosity (?) what,
(Student's laughter) And then you just say it, if you have no mastery
of your words, you have no mastery of yourself. If you do not mean what you say, you are very
mean person. You must understand efficiency and deficiency in you. You can only speak
but the words will make your destiny. Never say no and God shall come through, that's
the definition of Nanak my governess gave me. No say no, when you have to say no, that's
Nanak. No, it's a double negative, no say no, when you have to say no, that is Nanak.
Because moment you say, I can't do it, I don't know, I don't understand, may be; you are
inferior, you are bankrupt, you are pauper, you are handicap, you are crippled yourself,
right there, you don't have to introduce anything, you don't have to explain a word but moment
you say it will be don't worry about it and you can't do it, God will come through because
it is His world, He rotates it, He'll take care of your routine.
There are two ways, ladies and gentlemen, to live; one is you work hard, you sweat,
you get it. One is you work hard, you be you, you be'
Students: You, YB: And let it come,
Students: And let it come, YB: You may need two million things in your
world. You can run after them as you want it or you can be there and those two million
things will come to you if they are meant to. Our problem is not we, Alice doesn't live
here anymore, you are never home. You are always thinking something else, you always
want to do something, you just don't want to be you, that's the problem which we all
have. This problem will continue. Now you are teenagers and in few years teenager
has to die, you know it and a grown up has to be born. So go beyond the enemy lines and
be there and there is no wrong to be grown up, it's inevitable anyway, there is no wrong
to be wise, there is no wrong to be disciplined, there is no wrong to be you, but live and
elevate others, it is a cheap way to live rich. Live and elevate others and the hand
of God will elevate you, it's a bargain point, it's a bargain (?) it's not something which
is not worth it. You see me, I am never angry with anybody
whom I don't love. I am never harsh and hard with anybody whom I don't love. If I don't
love somebody, I am most sweet, I am very kind, extremely diplomatic. Oh, yes please,
thank you sir, may I, if you come, you son of so and so, you idiot, where have you been?
You think oh my God, I am mad at you, no, no, no. What I am (?) it's called leveling
out. You know what is leveling out, bring somebody, skin him alive, drop the ego, make
him naked, penetrate, switch in, adjust, push it together, put it (?), kick him out, let
him face the world. Because I don't die, you make me die. I don't fail, you make me fail,
I am not me, I am you, like each molecule, you understand,
Students: Yes sir. YB: A spiritual teacher doesn't live for himself
and he has lot at stake; when you fail, he dies. Neither your parents can do it, nor
your friends can do it and nor your God can do it, don't be misled. That's why GuruGuru

it will mean you different. It will totally mean different, same words, same lines.
All right, let us do this. Could you please kiss me,
(Student's laughter) Say it exactly the way I said, could you please
kiss me. Students: Could you please kiss me.
YB: Now kiss yourself in this dummy, otherwise you will be non-effective. Could you please
kiss me. Students: Could you please kiss me,
YB: Kiss, kiss, kiss, is a hiss sound, could you' It is a same sound which is,
'Aad Sach, Jugad Sach, Hai bhee Sach Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach.'
It is the same kiss in those words you kiss the Infinity, you won't find those words anywhere.
Would you please kiss me? Students: Would you please kiss me?
YB: The cobra was hissing at me. Students: The cobra was hissing at me,
YB: The cobra was kissing me, Students: The cobra was kissing me,
YB: Just see the different, just I am trying to make you understand the difference between
the two words, though the sound is not very different, meanings are different but also
experience is different. I, Students: I,
YB: Do not want, Students: Do not want,
YB: To go away, Students: To go away,
YB: I am not going away, Students: I am not going away,
YB: See the different.
YB: You are a shit, Students: You are a shit,
YB: You are a shit man, Students: You are a shit man,
(Student's laughter) YB: No, you understand, do you see the different,
do you understand the difference. You understand the power of your word and your pronunciation
and your projection, huh? Students: Yes sir.
YB: So when you speak, it's a art. If you want to be smart, learn the art how to speak
and never talk, never speak, never create a intercourse, always create a dialogue. Always
create' Students: Dialogue.
YB: Listen more, Students: Listen more,
YB: Speak less, Students: Speak less.
YB: And your answer, your words, your meaning, your projection should be very, very exact.
Never, ever expose yourself to anybody, oh, right here, Little, where are you? Where are
you? (Student's laughter)
Little, oh, this is it, here is she, come on, where is your purse, get that thing, ten
points. Oh, one day, I was very (?) and I raised her from day one and her mataji was
great, she took her away for couple years and we had a pact, between me and the Little
that, when she will be ten days to eighteen, she will find me and if I am dead and alive;
if I am dead my estate will take care of her and she should move into the ranchThe Ranch
Yogi Bhajan's home just across the highway from the Aashram, and site of the Yogi Bhajan Memorial Birthday Celebration.
. I think
she was six year old when you left? Student: Seven.
YB: Seven year old and when we were departing, she looked at me, and she said, 'I don't
want to go.' I said, 'You have to go, you won't hear
from me, I won't send you any letter or message, you won't hear a word. But just remember,
I will be around you all the time, but do me a favor when you are ten days to eighteen,
whatever it takes, walk into ranch.' So when she was eighteen, ten days actually,
she was in Albuquerque, she called me, she said, 'I am very sick.' That was our code
word. And I said, 'Move on to ranch.'
'I can't go.' I said, 'Make it.'
So she was in the ranchThe Ranch
Yogi Bhajan's home just across the highway from the Aashram, and site of the Yogi Bhajan Memorial Birthday Celebration.
and whatever was going on was going on, she was there.
And I said, 'Just relax, you will be healthy.' She was healthy anyway.
Then I took her to Los Angeles, I start working with her and she was working and doctors were
telling me that time has come and I should get ready to go and disease was very seriously
engulfing me. So I told her, I said, 'I want to marry
you.' And I gave her the reasons and she didn't want to marry and she was thinking
that she can do this and she can do that. Finally she told me that if I live, she will
have the chance to serve me. I said, 'Okay, that I agree. But you got
to marry.' So I pushed her to that marriage and stuck
with it. But before marrying her I gave her ten points to live by.
I said, 'These are the ten points, you should note down and write it down, you will never
fail,' and I will ask her to share with you those ten points. She keep in her purse,
in her wallet all the time and whenever there is a chance she reads it. She never wanted
to get married, one thing I can tell you that. And we had a fight on it, we debated it and
(?) said, 'What do you want?' I said, 'I want you to get marry.'
She said, 'Okay.' And that's how it was. But she remembers those point and I like you
to hear those, then we can discuss it, come on. Oh it's better than spaghetti.
(Student's laughter) Student: Ten principles to live by, practical,
principles (?) danger to yourself. YB: Practical'
Students: Principles (?) danger to yourself. YB: Okay.
Student: Number one, if you don't want enemies, don't have friends. Number two'
YB: Number one' Students: If you don't want enemies, don't
have friends. YB: Can you believe that?
Student: Yes. YB: Okay, number two.
(Student's laughter) Student: Love is not tough.
Students: Love is not tough. Student: Don't be so sweet that people want
to eat you, or so bitter that people want to throw you away.
Students: Don't be so sweet that people want to eat you, don't be so bitter that people
want to throw you away. Student: Number four, open the lips sink the
ship. Students: Open the lips sink the ship.
Student: Number five, excellence, arrogance, and grace are the three elements of a human
being. Students: Excellence, arrogance, and grace
are the three elements of a human being. Student: If somebody challenges these three
in you, avoid that person. Students: If somebody challenges these three
in you, avoid that person. Student: Number six, only show your strength,
not your weaknesses. Students: Only show your strength, not your
weaknesses. Student: Number seven, if somebody says I
love you, wait for the next step. People use love as a hook; they say they love you but
they are only out to get something from you. Students: If somebody says I love you, wait
for the next step. People use love as a hook, they say they love you but they are only out
to get something from you. (Student's laughter)
Student: Number eight, trust all for nothing. Students: Trust all for nothing.
Student: Number nine, remember your blessings over your weaknesses.
Students: Remember your blessings, over your weaknesses.
Student: Number ten, don't utter words in friendship, they can be used against you in
animosity. Students: Don't utter words in friendship,
they can be used against you in animosity. YB: Do you learn?
Students: Yes sir. YB: Try to understand these ten principles.
They are very practical, cross them, you will have pain, follow them you will see happiness.
These are practical things, it's not a question of what we believe or not, what our want or
not, what we want to know or not, these are the things which will guide you to your own
strength. It doesn't matter life, isn't that one line, isn't the life that matters'
Students: (-----) YB: Courage comes to you only when you are
you. My principle is very simple. Something which
has guided me is very divine, I call it anything. In simple words I can explain to you life.
Life is like a movie house and take your popcorn and your diet coke or coke whatever you choose,
plus your M&Ms and everything else and please sit in silence and calm and quiet, enjoy your
snacks and watch the movie. If you just care to watch, you will enjoy life; if you participate
you will sweat. I am not against emotions and feelings, I
am not against sex and flirtation, I am not against anything because everything and anything
is God's one side or the other. But when you take one side negative over the positive and
you are out of balance, that's where your trouble starts. Time is time, when you are
teenager or grown up, you are not adult, grow, grow to be; not to grow that you are, you
are not you are, you got to grow to be you are and when you, you are, don't care a damn
and don't give an inch. You will have all in life, I know the secret
and I want to share that with you, it is much better to wait for the right man and right
moment and right opportunity and right values than to fall apart because it is tempting,
it is easy, it is available, it is now. And you need that character, you need that discipline.
It is not that I don't know numerology or astrology, I can't read tarot cards and all
that. Not true, it's not that I cannot read the forehead of a person in second, it's not
that I do not know one is lying to me or telling me the truth. There are lot of virtues which
I have got but they are no value. What's the use if I succeed and I am (?) and blah, blah,
blah, and you all fall apart. There is no greatness. Personal greatness is no greatness.
Everybody can carry oneself. The fact is to carry others and the beauty is, don't let
anybody fall and wonderful thing is don't let anybody fail. You have to have that strength.
Coming home is a ordinary thing, coming home, bringing home people and feeding them and
putting them to rest so they can have next morning wonderful, that is called coming home.
Take ownership of your life. It's not written on your forehead you are rich, your habits,
your deeds will prove it. Nanak said so, 'Karmee aapo aapanee ke nerai ke door.'
Your action prove you are divine or you are not. You don't need a certificate. Nobody
can certify you. If you want to be you nobody can stop you, if you want to be great, God
will be happy. Don't ever search God, let Almighty God search you, don't go after money.
LakshmiLakshmi
Hindu goddess of love, harmony, and prosperity.
, the money is the wife of NarayanNarayan
A Name of God in the aspect of Sustainer.
, the God and if you go after somebody's wife
he is going to beat a heck out of you. Let it come to you. Please remember, life is a
gift, don't create rift between you and God, because He made you to be you. Don't be angry,
don't be frustrated; be first-rated. Who cares who are you? Nobody will care. If you don't
leave behind you the legacy, you leave behind you nothing. You measure everything with dollars
and with cents. No my folks, they come and go. You will meet lot of people, I have a
alphabet of it, some day I will read it to you, I think I gave in the my last class,
were you there some of you? Students: Yes sir.
YB: Alphabets and all that? You should all have them, categorize yourself. Try to understand
that you are born to be bountiful, beautiful and blissful. You are born in the light of
God, you are born in the image of your Creator, you have born with your destiny on your forehead.
All you have to do is to take the journey and make it. San Francisco is a San Francisco.
If you are going to San Francisco, you cannot stop at' What is that beautiful town in
the way? Student: (-----)
YB: Two hours from LA? Students: Santa'
YB: Santa? Students: Santa Barbara.
YB: Santa Barbara is not San Francisco and what is the other where people stop.
Student: (-----) YB: No,
Student: (-----) YB: No,
Student: Big Sir. YB: Big Sir; so if you want to reach San Francisco,
make it. I am not against that if you are flirting you are doing some thing wrong. When
you flirt, you are not alert. And in this life if you are not alert, you will lose a
lot. There is a time to play and then there is a time to work. Work never waits and time
never stops. Majority of you will be very unhappy your
life, you will live a very dirty, shitty life; not that you won't be successful, not that
you will not be Sikhs, not that you will not be religious, you will really live a very
dirty life, very shitty, very painful, you want to know the reason? Reason is very simple;
you will measure everything in money, you will control everything with money, you will
desire everything, you will measure everything with money. Whosoever measure by the standard
of MayaMaya
The creative power of the Creator that restricts and limits. It creates the sense of limitation that leads us to identify with experience, the ego, and things. Because of this it is often thought of as the illusion that blocks us from the spirit. But, as Guru Nanak (see Sikh Gurus) reminds us, you need not be attached to the productions of maya. Instead they can be used to serve and express the higher consciousness and spirit. Maya is simply Karta Purkh, the doing of the Great Being. Maya takes the ineffable into the realm of the measurable.
is a very cursed person. Whosoever measure life with the measure of Infinity
is very blessed person. These are the two standard you must learn.
Never ever hide yourself. In five minutes you speak everybody know how sick you are
or how Sikh you are. You don't have to introduce your teacher, in ten minutes if the person
doesn't ask who is your teacher, you have missed the bus already. There is no power
in the world, this world which rotates, which planet Earth other than your spoken word.
Whatever impact you want to create, you have first try to create that impact by just your
presence. If your presence is noble, your presence is grateful and graceful you have
already won. If your words are elevating, you already won.
Therefore, please take this few days you are with me, bear with me to learn, we are trying
to teach you these meditationsMeditation
Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself.
and you have to do it lot of hours, apply yourself so that
you can break this magnetic self to a magnet self. Once you reach the magnetic self you
can get whatever you want. That's why I called you here in these holidays. I know if I had
not called you, you would have gone, had a good time but that good time is just according
to you. I want you to have good time beyond you. Because one day we have to drop this
body and we have to go beyond, it's better we know beyond now.
Lot of people love me, they even do not know what love is, it's a very simple thing. Love
is experience of oneself within oneself. And those who do not know themself, they have
no experience about themself, how can they give you any experience. How can a empty glass
of water can quench your thirst? Yes, you are afraid to be alone, I agree, you are afraid
to be rejected I agree, you are afraid, afraid, afraid, there is a long list. Why you are
worried? You are not you, why you care. So for God sake, this is the time to prepare
for your career, then there will be another years, when you will choose the career; then
there will be few more years when you have to achieve the specialty. All that to achieve
you need a character so that you can cover every characteristic of life. Understand?
Students: Yes sir. YB: Life is not a game folks. Don't play it
as a game, play it real, you will become real. You all have the chance and you all can make
it. Why? I made it. You don't understand, sometime I wonder what
people do to me morning seven a.m. to eleven p.m. you can't even count, it goes on and
on and on. I don't know, I can't say it, (?) it is already is going on, what will happen to
me, I am dying inside, I am living outside, I am seeing things. Oh wait a minute, all
that is okay, just be you. Somebody called me on the telephone, 'I
am dreadful.' I never heard that dreadful thing.
I said, 'How dreadful?' 'Very afraid, I am shaking, I am shivering,
I am this, that,' 'Okay, what should I do now?'
I said, 'Go, hurry up and fill up the bathtub.' So I thought the bathtub filling will take
about fifteen, twenty minutes. I was on the speaker phone; 'Bathtub is full, what should
I do know?' I said, 'Look into the water.'
'I am looking, nothing is happening.' I said, 'Then get into the water.'
'I am in the water.' I said, 'Put your head down into the water.'
Then voice came, 'I (?).' I said, 'Come up. What happen?'
'I was drowning.' I said, 'I didn't ask you to drown, I said
put your head into the water, did I say drown? 'No.'
I said, 'Just obey, put your head again in the water,' and I looked at my watch
and it started (?) started the sound on the speaker, I said, 'Up now.'
'Oh.' I said, 'You are dreadful now?'
He said, 'No, no I am fine, I am fine.' (Student's laughter)
Because going into the water was more dreadful than dreadful the drama he was playing, you
understand what I mean? So sometime you do not value your blessings
and you miss your bliss and you also miss your bounties because you complain too much.
Please learn to deserve, never desire. Desire is very sophisticated begging which God curse
is. Just deserve; just deserve; let thing comes to you, there will
be forever, you understand? Students: Yes sir.
YB: We are going to do one little experiment, then I'll let you go.
Put your hand here and move it, right hand just move it fast like a watch, fast, look
at the tip of your nose, look at the tip of your nose and move the right hand fast, as
you wish like a watch, create a rhythm, you are controlling your five tattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. The final five tattvas are called the gross elements and have the phasic qualities and relationships of ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
and you
are manipulating your five tattvasTattvas

first time but take the optical nerve between two eyes,
look at the tip of the nose, keep it fixed, don't stop. It's a very simple meditationMeditation

.
Fast, fast, now you stop you are getting weaker, some of you not interested.
Now use your will, use your ego, all those fingers back and forth, look at the tip of
your nose and move them, it is a very simple thing, it is not very difficult. Don't start
relaxing. Keep moving. Okay the hand which is moving take it up straight and start other
hand moving. Yeah, one down, keep that up straight, all antennas up, totally wide open,
let the energy come in. Move other hand, don't worry, you will be miserable soon, I know.
Come on, keep that hand up, you won't be in a position to keep it because the flow of
the energy is heavier than your own physical. Come on keep it up straight, straight, hey,
straight is straight, perpendicular, move the other hand, move it fast, it's very sexy,
keep going. Oh, yeah, yeah, think of the beautiful girls and beautiful boys you have' Think
anything abnormal, obnoxious and sexual and sensual, try it; anything pornographic will
work. (Student's laughter)
Oh, yeah, yeah, I am, I am
not joking, anything pornographic or play magazine will do.
Come on, come on, see what it does to you, don't worry what he is doing. If you keep
your five fingers open and wide and hands straight, move the other five fingers in the
regular form, don't worry about it, think anything pornographic but look your eyes at
the tip of your nose, you will cleanse your dirt so fast, you have never seen that, come
on, get going, put your both hands on your heart center please, breath of fireBreath of Fire
Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins.

KarmaKarma
The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action.
, fast, fast, kids, you are young. Okay, inhale deep, hold tight and press your
chest and breast as the cases is as hard as you can, harder, harder, like a cannon fire,
let it go, inhale again. Press harder, harder, harder, cannon fire, let it go. Last time,
inhale deep, deep, deep, you got to open the lower side of the lungs, deep, deep, hold
it tight, press hard, hard, hard, hard, let it go, relax.
Here are the cookies, somebody to distribute on the birthday, you should do it, up, up,
up girl, hurry up, I ate my first thing.
Could you come forward. Have you met this person before folks.
Students: Yes sir.
YB: Oh, keep that to my...
Student: You think you know me, you don't know me. What you don't know me.
YB: Oh yeah, yeah wait a minute.
(Student's laughter)
Student: We just saw a movie the (?) we did it on your behalf sir, so that you didn't have to suffer.
(Student's laughter)
But in this movie, there is this senile woman and she is in a coma most of the time, once in a while she wakes up and she is saying anyway, but really it's a...
YB: What is that movie?
Student: Hah, 'My Girl.'
YB: That little girl?
Student: Yeah, and...
YB: Okay.
Student: Anyway, yes sir.
YB: ShaktiShakti

is open to question from you. And she is the executive secretary, she is the divine mother of all of us including me. So please spare her for nothing.
ShaktiShakti
The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature.
: Yes.
Student: When and why, how sudden did you decide to become Sikh.
ShaktiShakti
The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature.
: Okay, that's a good question. First of all, I was very anti-religion and I didn't really decide to. When I met YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan, (?) and then he was a Sikh, so he would tell us stories about the GurusGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
and I found that I got very inspired (?) the story particularly Baba Deep Singh, I remember first hearing that story of him, you know throwing his head and all the courage and it was just very inspiring to me.
But, as time passed I was doing SadhanaSadhana
, Saadhana
A spiritual discipline; the early morning practice of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. The Aquarian Sadhana can be an individual or group practice; Ideally, it includes the recitation of Japji Sahib, a Kundalini Yoga kriya, and chanting the Aquarian Sadhana meditations, immediately followed by Gurdwara. According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting.
because it worked, it made me littlesaner than I had been. And everything else, I think I had to give up tuna fish that was the big sacrifice,
(Student's laughter)
And shaving my legs but I was (?) other than that I already was a vegetarian primarily but YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan had an interesting way of teaching and he knew that if he told me to go this way, I'll go that way, so he would send me out to get my hair cut. At first, I had very, very short hair, short curly hair like my son and I once were waiting and little before I met YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan, I was selling you donuts and not that there is anything illegal or immoral about donuts but anyway, (?), anyway, I was standing with my back to the place where you order (?) lady said, "What would you boys like."
Then I decided that I better do something about my hair. But anyway, he would lecture and talk about what, you know, what hair does and how it converts the sunlight to vitamin D and how it acts as an antenna and he was teaching all of these hippies, most of your parents, you know, or in that group and I thought they were totally crazy and they thought I was totally upset, (?) both made you (?) but YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan able to see the destiny of everyone and to see the soul, so I was already getting up in the morning doing SadhanaSadhana

, I was already even (?) let my hair grow and I noticed a difference (?) myself. I was still eating eggs and went out somewhere to some coffee shop and he...
YB: Pancake house.
ShaktiShakti

: Pancake house, and so I ordered pancakes and eggs, (?) why don't you have three of them, in other words, he knew that, you know, it is, you can't tell me what to do, I am much too independent and a little bit independent (?),
(Student's laughter)
Anyhow I was already doing just (?) everything, everybody went up to Berkeley. At that time the Berkeley ashramAshram

was called the Banana Ananda ashramAshram
, Aashram
A community of practitioners who come together to live conscious, mindful lives.
,
(Student's laughter)
And Berkeley as you may or may not know in your history books, (?) most of you were too young, was quite the center of the hippy movement probably even more so than Los Angeles, there was (?). So anyway up there was called the Banana Ananda ashramAshram
, Aashram
A community of practitioners who come together to live conscious, mindful lives.
and five Indian Sikhs were there giving amritAmrit

The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
and everybody in this group was going to take amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
.
Meanwhile when YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan would perform a marriage ceremony, I was always (?) reading peace lagoon and I just liked everything, first of all when he told me that Sikhs worship truth, that sounded pretty good to me. Because that to me was the highest virtue and the highest value because that's what my mother used to teach us when we were kids, she said kids (?).
What you do, if you break something (?) get into trouble as long you don't lie about it, so I was never afraid to tell the truth, which is very rare I understand; very rare commodity, then I never knew how different everybody else's childhood has been from mine and I just have a whole different background, I was born in a different century practically. But anyway, what he said the Sikhs worship truth, I (?) far out and you earn righteously, well, I am used to earning my own living, I went to work when I was thirteen. Everything just seem to sit. In other words, the Sikh way of life made sense to me, there was nothing in it that was contrary to what my personal belief system had been.
But I didn't definitely did not want to cover my head and he never told me to, never. But in the beginning of 3HO actually people started covering their heads and then one day he was kind of disturbed because somebody (?) thought should cover their head, well (?) I thought well, I'll just give it a try and I went home and put a turban on andI kind of liked it and I was tying it real funny, (?) do with the thing hanging out and people would come over to me and they say, you know, (?), I like it that way.
(Student's laughter)
I don't know why, I think (?) so as memories and I really believe that we each you know is nothing happens by accident, our souls know we belong here but then the soul has to battle with your mind and it has to battle with your emotions and it has to battle with all of the culture that, can't call it culture for God sake, not in America but the lack of culture here. And it's like you swimming upstream and everybody else is going the other way because that (?) suited me. Because I have always felt different, and I think many people in 3HO have had that feeling at least the first generation that we had all the ones that are now in their forties and are starting to get to be fifty, it's very funny because I was not quite forty when I met the Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib

He was not the Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib

and there were not people running around in full BanaBana

ceremony elsewhere and I had found it to be very beautiful and the vibration was just very inspiring. But that morning I had a stomachache, couldn't wait to get out to get out of (?) to the bathroom, I had washed my hair, I was cold, I was miserable and here I was waiting for my turn, you know and trying to remember how I am going to remember to say 'Wahe Wahe Guru

Fateh,' because I was (?) over the syllables, didn't know what they were going to come out and I really prayed very hard that it wouldn't be just a ritual because I, I just don't like things that are, you know, that are real and so that was my prayer, so I went through the ceremony and was in, it was very unpleasant but then he spoke about how would you take AmritAmrit

's problem and having a spiritual teacher like YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan is like nothing else on this planet. Because very sweetly for some of us and very bombastically for others, he puts each individual through what that individual needs. And with me, he always has been on the surface very polite, very graceful, after all, I am two months older than he is, so he is strict. But (?) from underneath and when I start to get out of line, he would just very diplomatically either not answer me, would not speak to me, or whatever it was and...
So you kind of get the idea that it doesn't matter, you know, he can make you feel which is part of the teacher's job is to get you ego out of the way, it doesn't matter if you feel like you are worthless. because that's when you say, "Okay, God, you made me this way." So it's, it's a very relaxing thing to be a Sikh. So I took the amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
but the result of that was very real and that was what was impressive to me was that although the actual day of the ceremony but there was something that happened (?) like I felt I was walking on air for weeks afterward, there was just, because the vibration is real.
You, GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.

and you, you make that connection through that ceremony, that amritAmrit

and they stir and put them, everything is vibration and when you drink those that sacred amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
, something definitely happens. The other thing that impressed me a lot during that and afterwards too. And I had always had wondered about this because there are amritdhari Sikhs those who have taken amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
, and there is those who have not and I have never liked the idea of anybody walking around thinking they are better than somebody else, I mean, we all have different talents and different ability but I have such a sense of gratitude that I had come home.
That's why I don't feel whatever, how should I say, oh certainly would not convert, it's just like you rediscover your identity through this ceremony but I didn't feel like well this made me superior because I had taken amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
. And I have spoken to other people who have taken amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
and they say the same thing that this does not do that, but it is for me, it was a real experience, it was not imaginary. So I never took Sikh vows as such but the amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
was an experience which gave me, a sense of belonging and that longing to belong if you know YogiYogi
One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery.
Bhajan's definition of love, it is the longing to belong and it's also the sacrifice of the self. So this is what about nineteen seventy four onwards, was that nineteen seventy four (?) when we took amritAmrit
, Aamrit
The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa.
and (?), I think it was nineteen seventy four.

Bhajan in December of nineteen sixty eight which means it will be twenty three years this Christmas. And as I said I was not looking for religion but everything that he thought (?)...
YB: You (?)...
ShaktiShakti
The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature.
: Yeah, I have studied Vedanta philosophy, I studied (?) astrology because I couldn't understand why I had such a rotten life. You know, I was graduated in Hollywood high school in nineteen forty seven, I was valedictorian, I (?) a pretty good child, you know, my parents were divorced and it is a horrible thing when your parents are divorced, I was five, when I was divorced and most children feel responsible, they feel resentful (?) and my father killed himself when I was twelve and I went around for years thinking it was my fault, I mean, you know, these are the things and nobody has strength enough to talk to you about it and that was in the movie tonight too, that nobody talked to these little kids about the feelings they were having and you and you young people, you have such a, golden opportunity there is somebody (?) listen to you. And who understands and if you got (?) you need to come to somebody, if you the Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib

or Bibi JiJi

or and even try me.
So there is somebody who has been through some of these things. I was just, I have been thinking about all of you a lot and wondering is it ever going to be that each generation is going to be a little more willing to learn from somebody else's experience or do we all have to go through making the same stupid mistakes until then you start to wise you when you are about thirty and by then you don't have the same opportunities which you had when your were fifteen but nobody can live your life for you. But you know, that I remember, you know that thing, those who have ears will hear, well, may be you have a little different caliber maybe your souls are strong enough to overcome the mental neuroses and the emotional blocks but just to say one thing, in astrology, you know, your soul shows the time and the place to be born.
YB: And by the way, she is very good. Every, on every birthday of mine she makes my card in hand, my past, future and all that, it is never inaccurate so far. That side of ShaktiShakti
The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature.
you don't know, right. She writes those fifty two cards and what they mean and they are fantastic.
ShaktiShakti
The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature.
: It's a system that includes the fifty two playing cards and packed up with astrology and numerology. And you know, we all want to know about ourselves, everybody is searching to understand themselves, it's really hard to be on a spiritual path and to be also trying to grow up and become a person all at the same time but the thing is astrology does show you what lessons you chose to learn and you chose them, nobody did it to you. It is do it yourself, creation and the thing is I was fortunate that I learned it.
Astrology shows you problems but yoga is the way to solve them. And in my understanding Yoga at that time was what I learned in Vedanta philosophy you know I used to go (?) hundreds of lectures and I traveled all over the world when I was in my mid-thirties and I went to India and I went to France and I went all around looking, you know to find in my teacher and it was good, I studied with a lot of different people and I learned a lot of good philosophy but it's YogiYogi

speaks to us, it's not just information, it is not, you know, a chemistry, (?) like chemistry, so (?) this together with this and you get this result, which you have to do it. But there is another dimension when you have a spiritual teacher of his caliber because he is able to convey to you a state of being, and this you (?) through us most (?) tell the beginners in KundaliniKundalini
Comes from the word "kundal"; coiled energy; the creative potential of an individual.
Kundalini Yoga
It is a Raaj Yoga that creates vitality in the body, balance in the mind, and openness to the spirit. It is used by the householder, busy in the world, to create immediate clarity. The fourth Guru in the Sikh tradition, Guru Ram Das, was acknowledged as the greatest Raaj Yogi. (See Raaj Yogi.) He opened this long secret tradition to all.

.
Spirituality cannot be taught, it has to be caught like the measles. You get it from somebody who has got it and it is not something that's intellectual. It is like increasing the RPMs in your mechanism and that's what happens when you do SadhanaSadhana
According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting.
, you do increase your voltage and your wattage or whatever it is. That's why it is very important to lead a balanced life because if a person just meditates and you know they can get off balance. So we got a whole lifestyle and he told us you have a right to be healthy, you have a right to be happy, and you have a right to be holy. Here is the blueprint, here is the technology (?) do it.
So I became a Sikh because it fulfilled probably a destiny but as you have heard him say, I still have not thrilled about it having to be a religion because that to me has connotations of virginity, of ritual and stuff that has no meaning but if you ask the right questions he knows the technology of the GuruGuru

, so of course the greatest gift he could give would be the present, you know, the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
to me. So he said, well, you know, just start reading, so I start reading the first few lines and I said, I am not interested, closed it up.
That's what I was at and he never bothered me again for rather for at least two years. And then it was sort of by accident that I started reading, reciting, we don't read from the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
, we recite from the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
and we started having...., we didn't know about Akhand Path but he was in... I think Malaysia or somewhere on one of your trips and this was one they were already trying to do him in either through lawsuits or people trying to kill him, I mean, he has an interesting life and so he wrote me a letter and he said, 'I don't know if I am going to come back alive or not, please pray for me.'
So I thought well, he seems to believe in this GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
, so what we used to do was chant twenty-four hours around the clock when we wanted to do so. I said, well, let's, let's do some continuous reading from the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
, so we set up what I thought was an Akhand Path for two weeks everyday, I would get through with my job at the Beverly Hill (?) I was a waitress I would wear my striped uniform (?) like superman thing you know, I go there and do my waitress thing and then come home and be the divine mother of 3HO, it was very interesting. And anyhow I have come home from a hotel, take a shower and go down to start reading from four to six everyday and it was really hard and it was boring and it was hard to sit but I (?) and I had heard black Krishna singing, belching it out, so I started doing that because there was nobody around.
(Student's laughter)
And I started finding that as I, each day I would go to work, God, I was getting so mellow, I mean, I used to be upset three or four times a day everyday. When I met the Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib

, I would say I must have cried at least twice a day, I don't know what for, I was a mess, but I didn't know what I thought I was fine and everybody else was messed up but I, I found it by getting those vibrations from the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
into my being, even thought the translation was not that great, I wasn't reading in Gurmukhi then, I was changing. And that to me is what has been important that the GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
is a tool, especially for anybody who has emotional ups and down, if you just sit there and just recite the word, the GuruGuru

When I will enter a Temple or a GurdwaraGurdwara

, first of all the speaker will stop speaking. I was a religious terror, I was a rebel number one and don't you misunderstand that I am very great to you, you are nothing. The people whom ten million people will bow in the morning will find me out and ask my religious counsel. It was not that here you know you play football of me here and there, I am good or I am bad and while I was a commanding officer, I have seen, I never recruited anybody in my unit under five foot, eight inches, doesn't matter what it means. And I have seen people with forty five inches chest, standing straight before me and their pants getting wet. And I was not what you know me now, I was known as a YogiYogi

MantarAntar
, Bantar
, Jantar
, Mantar
, Tantar
, Patantar

? Have you ever asked this question?
Students: No sir.
YB: This book which you call as Siri GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
to which you bow is written in a permutation and combination, in which a intercourse happen and pregnancy happens and child is delivered and that is, you have a hypothalamus on the upper palate and your tongue touches the eighty-four meridian point when you read GurbaniGurbani
Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
, it is in that permutation and combination. And when hypothalamus is stimulated by that recitation, it immediately affects the neurons and the pineal which is the controlling nucleus center of our brain, it radiates clockwise and anti-clockwise and it commands the pituitary which commands the other glandular system to create a chemistry of the blood to give you the power of ecstasy and acknowledgement of Infinity.
It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
, his words are words, those words you hear. When you hear the inner, inner, inner ear of your, it has two side bones and one hammer bone, it creates the signal through which your brain concludes the concept and the conception and the reality of it, you understand that, you understand.
By listening and hearing perfectly you develop in your brain to formulate, translate, project, procure, play the totality of the reality in the meaning of that word, in reciting you conquer the total projection of yours and understand the penetration to which the shield of another person, radiant shield cannot defend self, this is the simple science, it is not something you don't have to understand. You have to understand and experience it and that's all about. It is a science which you must know.
In a recitation there is a permutation and combination in which your excitement will become real and your penetration of your presence will become perfect and that's very important because you are what you can move, you are not what you are and you are what you can see and if you see beyond what you see (?) to ordinary man then you are a special person. If you can move what is impossible to move, then you are a victor. It is the knowledge and the science and the practical projection of a victor. Let me tell you an experience, all right, are we ready.
Students: Yes sir.
YB: All right, just go by this; I Love You, speak.
Students: I Love You.
YB: You said it?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: You understand it?
Student: No sir,
YB: No, say it again, I...
Students: I Love You.
YB: Arey you kisses and hugs in your dreams and all that nonsense, why can't you just speak it as best you can and just let us see what we are getting at, because I am going to trip you into a trick that you'll never be the same, so in a very simple way, I am going to do it, I want you to just co-operate and see whether it's true or not. Why you have to add unnecessarily, I am Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib
Honorary title given to Yogi Bhajan to indicate his role as spiritual leader of Sikh Dharma in the West. His complete title within Sikh Dharma is Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji.
and I am this Sahib and that Sahib, who knows who the hell I am, let us see what happens right now, okay. Alert yourself, come to alert, alert, come to alert, let's experience, let us, let's play it right. Okay, you love or not you have to look towards me, hey, my boy, you are lonely?
Student: (-----)
YB: Tired?
Student: No,
YB: You want to eat and sleep at the same time, that's okay, who will be finishing soon, don't worry. This will be very interesting, it will excite you, make you everybody horny anyway, don't,
(Student's laughter)
Nothing is going to go wrong, okay. Oh, yeah, I will just, make your glandular system just push little bit and you will be fine. But it will be difficult night, that's okay too. Hah, I, I...
Students: I,
YB: I,
Students: I,
YB: Love,
Students: Love,
YB: Love,
Students: Love,
YB: Touch the upper palate with the tip of your tongue. I,
Students: I,
YB: Love,
Students: Love,
YB: You,
Students: You.
(Student's laughter)
YB: You feel it. Let us do it little better, okay. I,
Students: I,
YB: Okay, made the I not just precede like this, make it like wide, okay. I,
Students: I,
YB: And then go upper there, sting it in, love,
Students: Love,
YB: Love, Love,
Students: Love,
YB: I,
Students: I,
YB: Love,
Students: Love,
YB: You.
Students: You.
YB: You,
Students: You.
YB: You,
Students: You.
YB: It's not what you speak, it is how you speak, it is not the gun and the bullet, it's the caliber. It's the caliber. If you know how to recite Siri GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
GranthGranth
Literally: knot: book.
, you will have a definite caliber and you will never miss the target. May I, may I...
Students: May I,
YB: May I,
Students: May I.
YB: It's very sexy, come on,
(Student's laughter)
Oh, yeah, yeah, it immediately get to gonads. May I,
Students: May I,
YB: May I,
Students: May I,
YB: Please,
Students: Please,
YB: Please,
Students: Please,
YB: This a please, it is just like slapping somebody face. May I,
Students: May I,
YB: Please,
Students: Please,
(Student's laughter)
YB: Can you,
Student: Can you,
YB: Listen to me,
Students: Listen to me,
(Student's laughter)
YB: You know how to act, why you are so shy, come on, let's do it. You will, you will not sleep after that, I know. I really miss you.
Students: I really miss you.
(Student's laughter)
YB: I didn't do my Ph.D. because I jot out few papers, I, I really worked hard for it and it was difficult subject and I understood because you know I studied in Sacred Heart Convent and it's very Catholic order and I just that John in the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God and then I read GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
Guru Nanak
First Guru of the Sikhs.
NanakGuru Nanak
First Guru of the Sikhs.
,
'Akhri NamNaam
, Nam
The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word.
Akhri Salah, Akhri...'
I was very surprised it is the same thing and I wanted to find out what it is.
May I,
Students: May I,
YB: May I,
Students: May I,
YB: Be with you?
Students: Be with you?
YB: If you cut the gap the person will fall in it. Question is move the auraAura
The radiant field of energy and consciousness that surrounds the physical body and which holds and organizes the seven centers of energy called chakras. Its strength, measured by brightness and radius, determines the vitality, mental concerns, and psychophysical integrity of a person.
, question is not move the person. You talk people emotionally, you destroy your energy, you destroy the other person. They are very self-destructive; that's not the way to talk and majority of us do not know how to speak. But if you learn the dialogue you can be were willing, such as, I have something to say, I have something to say,
Students: I have something to say,
YB: I have,
Students: I have,
YB: Do it (?) see the body language with it, I have,
Students: I have,
YB: Something to say,
Students: Something to say,
YB: I have,
Students: I have,
YB: Something to say,
Students: Something to say,
YB: I have,
Students: I have,
YB: Something to say,
Students: Something to say,
YB: You do this way, say anything you get it. I have,
Students: I have,
YB: Something to say,
Students: Something to say,
YB: There is so much curiosity (?) what,
(Student's laughter)
And then you just say it, if you have no mastery of your words, you have no mastery of yourself. If you do not mean what you say, you are very mean person. You must understand efficiency and deficiency in you. You can only speak but the words will make your destiny. Never say no and God shall come through, that's the definition of Nanak my governess gave me. No say no, when you have to say no, that's Nanak. No, it's a double negative, no say no, when you have to say no, that is Nanak. Because moment you say, I can't do it, I don't know, I don't understand, may be; you are inferior, you are bankrupt, you are pauper, you are handicap, you are crippled yourself, right there, you don't have to introduce anything, you don't have to explain a word but moment you say it will be don't worry about it and you can't do it, God will come through because it is His world, He rotates it, He'll take care of your routine.
There are two ways, ladies and gentlemen, to live; one is you work hard, you sweat, you get it. One is you work hard, you be you, you be...
Students: You,
YB: And let it come,
Students: And let it come,
YB: You may need two million things in your world. You can run after them as you want it or you can be there and those two million things will come to you if they are meant to. Our problem is not we, Alice doesn't live here anymore, you are never home. You are always thinking something else, you always want to do something, you just don't want to be you, that's the problem which we all have. This problem will continue.
Now you are teenagers and in few years teenager has to die, you know it and a grown up has to be born. So go beyond the enemy lines and be there and there is no wrong to be grown up, it's inevitable anyway, there is no wrong to be wise, there is no wrong to be disciplined, there is no wrong to be you, but live and elevate others, it is a cheap way to live rich. Live and elevate others and the hand of God will elevate you, it's a bargain point, it's a bargain (?) it's not something which is not worth it.
You see me, I am never angry with anybody whom I don't love. I am never harsh and hard with anybody whom I don't love. If I don't love somebody, I am most sweet, I am very kind, extremely diplomatic. Oh, yes please, thank you sir, may I, if you come, you son of so and so, you idiot, where have you been? You think oh my God, I am mad at you, no, no, no. What I am (?) it's called leveling out. You know what is leveling out, bring somebody, skin him alive, drop the ego, make him naked, penetrate, switch in, adjust, push it together, put it (?), kick him out, let him face the world. Because I don't die, you make me die. I don't fail, you make me fail, I am not me, I am you, like each molecule, you understand,
Students: Yes sir.
YB: A spiritual teacher doesn't live for himself and he has lot at stake; when you fail, he dies. Neither your parents can do it, nor your friends can do it and nor your God can do it, don't be misled. That's why GuruGuru
That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word.
has a very great power in the life of man and you are very fortunate you don't have a man as a GuruGuru

, each time you read it will mean you different. It will totally mean different, same words, same lines.
All right, let us do this. Could you please kiss me,
(Student's laughter)
Say it exactly the way I said, could you please kiss me.
Students: Could you please kiss me.
YB: Now kiss yourself in this dummy, otherwise you will be non-effective. Could you please kiss me.
Students: Could you please kiss me,
YB: Kiss, kiss, kiss, is a hiss sound, could you... It is a same sound which is,
"Aad Sach, Jugad Sach, Hai bhee Sach Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach."
It is the same kiss in those words you kiss the Infinity, you won't find those words anywhere. Would you please kiss me?
Students: Would you please kiss me?
YB: The cobra was hissing at me.
Students: The cobra was hissing at me,
YB: The cobra was kissing me,
Students: The cobra was kissing me,
YB: Just see the different, just I am trying to make you understand the difference between the two words, though the sound is not very different, meanings are different but also experience is different. I,
Students: I,
YB: Do not want,
Students: Do not want,
YB: To go away,
Students: To go away,
YB: I am not going away,
Students: I am not going away,
YB: See the different.
Side B
YB: You are a shit,
Students: You are a shit,
YB: You are a shit man,
Students: You are a shit man,
(Student's laughter)
YB: No, you understand, do you see the different, do you understand the difference. You understand the power of your word and your pronunciation and your projection, huh?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: So when you speak, it's a art. If you want to be smart, learn the art how to speak and never talk, never speak, never create a intercourse, always create a dialogue. Always create...
Students: Dialogue.
YB: Listen more,
Students: Listen more,
YB: Speak less,
Students: Speak less.
YB: And your answer, your words, your meaning, your projection should be very, very exact. Never, ever expose yourself to anybody, oh, right here, Little, where are you? Where are you?
(Student's laughter)
Little, oh, this is it, here is she, come on, where is your purse, get that thing, ten points. Oh, one day, I was very (?) and I raised her from day one and her mataji was great, she took her away for couple years and we had a pact, between me and the Little that, when she will be ten days to eighteen, she will find me and if I am dead and alive; if I am dead my estate will take care of her and she should move into the ranchThe Ranch
Yogi Bhajan's home just across the highway from the Aashram, and site of the Yogi Bhajan Memorial Birthday Celebration.
. I think she was six year old when you left?
Student: Seven.
YB: Seven year old and when we were departing, she looked at me, and she said, "I don't want to go."
I said, "You have to go, you won't hear from me, I won't send you any letter or message, you won't hear a word. But just remember, I will be around you all the time, but do me a favor when you are ten days to eighteen, whatever it takes, walk into ranch."
So when she was eighteen, ten days actually, she was in Albuquerque, she called me, she said, "I am very sick." That was our code word.
And I said, "Move on to ranch."
"I can't go."
I said, "Make it."
So she was in the ranchThe Ranch
Yogi Bhajan's home just across the highway from the Aashram, and site of the Yogi Bhajan Memorial Birthday Celebration.
and whatever was going on was going on, she was there.
And I said, "Just relax, you will be healthy." She was healthy anyway.
Then I took her to Los Angeles, I start working with her and she was working and doctors were telling me that time has come and I should get ready to go and disease was very seriously engulfing me.
So I told her, I said, "I want to marry you." And I gave her the reasons and she didn't want to marry and she was thinking that she can do this and she can do that.
Finally she told me that if I live, she will have the chance to serve me.
I said, "Okay, that I agree. But you got to marry."
So I pushed her to that marriage and stuck with it. But before marrying her I gave her ten points to live by.
I said, "These are the ten points, you should note down and write it down, you will never fail," and I will ask her to share with you those ten points. She keep in her purse, in her wallet all the time and whenever there is a chance she reads it. She never wanted to get married, one thing I can tell you that. And we had a fight on it, we debated it and (?) said, "What do you want?"
I said, "I want you to get marry."
She said, "Okay." And that's how it was. But she remembers those point and I like you to hear those, then we can discuss it, come on. Oh it's better than spaghetti.
(Student's laughter)
Student: Ten principles to live by, practical, principles (?) danger to yourself.
YB: Practical...
Students: Principles (?) danger to yourself.
YB: Okay.
Student: Number one, if you don't want enemies, don't have friends. Number two...
YB: Number one...
Students: If you don't want enemies, don't have friends.
YB: Can you believe that?
Student: Yes.
YB: Okay, number two.
(Student's laughter)
Student: Love is not tough.
Students: Love is not tough.
Student: Don't be so sweet that people want to eat you, or so bitter that people want to throw you away.
Students: Don't be so sweet that people want to eat you, don't be so bitter that people want to throw you away.
Student: Number four, open the lips sink the ship.
Students: Open the lips sink the ship.
Student: Number five, excellence, arrogance, and grace are the three elements of a human being.
Students: Excellence, arrogance, and grace are the three elements of a human being.
Student: If somebody challenges these three in you, avoid that person.
Students: If somebody challenges these three in you, avoid that person.
Student: Number six, only show your strength, not your weaknesses.
Students: Only show your strength, not your weaknesses.
Student: Number seven, if somebody says I love you, wait for the next step. People use love as a hook; they say they love you but they are only out to get something from you.
Students: If somebody says I love you, wait for the next step. People use love as a hook, they say they love you but they are only out to get something from you.
(Student's laughter)
Student: Number eight, trust all for nothing.
Students: Trust all for nothing.
Student: Number nine, remember your blessings over your weaknesses.
Students: Remember your blessings, over your weaknesses.
Student: Number ten, don't utter words in friendship, they can be used against you in animosity.
Students: Don't utter words in friendship, they can be used against you in animosity.
YB: Do you learn?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: Try to understand these ten principles. They are very practical, cross them, you will have pain, follow them you will see happiness. These are practical things, it's not a question of what we believe or not, what our want or not, what we want to know or not, these are the things which will guide you to your own strength. It doesn't matter life, isn't that one line, isn't the life that matters...
Students: (-----)
YB: Courage comes to you only when you are you.
My principle is very simple. Something which has guided me is very divine, I call it anything. In simple words I can explain to you life. Life is like a movie house and take your popcorn and your diet coke or coke whatever you choose, plus your M&Ms and everything else and please sit in silence and calm and quiet, enjoy your snacks and watch the movie. If you just care to watch, you will enjoy life; if you participate you will sweat.
I am not against emotions and feelings, I am not against sex and flirtation, I am not against anything because everything and anything is God's one side or the other. But when you take one side negative over the positive and you are out of balance, that's where your trouble starts. Time is time, when you are teenager or grown up, you are not adult, grow, grow to be; not to grow that you are, you are not you are, you got to grow to be you are and when you, you are, don't care a damn and don't give an inch.
You will have all in life, I know the secret and I want to share that with you, it is much better to wait for the right man and right moment and right opportunity and right values than to fall apart because it is tempting, it is easy, it is available, it is now. And you need that character, you need that discipline. It is not that I don't know numerology or astrology, I can't read tarot cards and all that. Not true, it's not that I cannot read the forehead of a person in second, it's not that I do not know one is lying to me or telling me the truth. There are lot of virtues which I have got but they are no value. What's the use if I succeed and I am (?) and blah, blah, blah, and you all fall apart. There is no greatness. Personal greatness is no greatness. Everybody can carry oneself. The fact is to carry others and the beauty is, don't let anybody fall and wonderful thing is don't let anybody fail. You have to have that strength.
Coming home is a ordinary thing, coming home, bringing home people and feeding them and putting them to rest so they can have next morning wonderful, that is called coming home. Take ownership of your life. It's not written on your forehead you are rich, your habits, your deeds will prove it. Nanak said so,
"Karmee aapo aapanee ke nerai ke door."
Your action prove you are divine or you are not. You don't need a certificate. Nobody can certify you. If you want to be you nobody can stop you, if you want to be great, God will be happy. Don't ever search God, let Almighty God search you, don't go after money. LakshmiLakshmi
Hindu goddess of love, harmony, and prosperity.
, the money is the wife of NarayanNarayan
A Name of God in the aspect of Sustainer.
, the God and if you go after somebody's wife he is going to beat a heck out of you. Let it come to you. Please remember, life is a gift, don't create rift between you and God, because He made you to be you. Don't be angry, don't be frustrated; be first-rated. Who cares who are you? Nobody will care. If you don't leave behind you the legacy, you leave behind you nothing. You measure everything with dollars and with cents. No my folks, they come and go. You will meet lot of people, I have a alphabet of it, some day I will read it to you, I think I gave in the my last class, were you there some of you?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: Alphabets and all that? You should all have them, categorize yourself. Try to understand that you are born to be bountiful, beautiful and blissful. You are born in the light of God, you are born in the image of your Creator, you have born with your destiny on your forehead. All you have to do is to take the journey and make it. San Francisco is a San Francisco. If you are going to San Francisco, you cannot stop at... What is that beautiful town in the way?
Student: (-----)
YB: Two hours from LA?
Students: Santa...
YB: Santa?
Students: Santa Barbara.
YB: Santa Barbara is not San Francisco and what is the other where people stop.
Student: (-----)
YB: No,
Student: (-----)
YB: No,
Student: Big Sir.
YB: Big Sir; so if you want to reach San Francisco, make it. I am not against that if you are flirting you are doing some thing wrong. When you flirt, you are not alert. And in this life if you are not alert, you will lose a lot. There is a time to play and then there is a time to work. Work never waits and time never stops.
Majority of you will be very unhappy your life, you will live a very dirty, shitty life; not that you won't be successful, not that you will not be Sikhs, not that you will not be religious, you will really live a very dirty life, very shitty, very painful, you want to know the reason? Reason is very simple; you will measure everything in money, you will control everything with money, you will desire everything, you will measure everything with money. Whosoever measure by the standard of MayaMaya
Whosoever measure life with the measure of Infinity is very blessed person. These are the two standard you must learn.
Never ever hide yourself. In five minutes you speak everybody know how sick you are or how Sikh you are. You don't have to introduce your teacher, in ten minutes if the person doesn't ask who is your teacher, you have missed the bus already. There is no power in the world, this world which rotates, which planet Earth other than your spoken word.
Whatever impact you want to create, you have first try to create that impact by just your presence. If your presence is noble, your presence is grateful and graceful you have already won. If your words are elevating, you already won.
Therefore, please take this few days you are with me, bear with me to learn, we are trying to teach you these meditationsMeditation
Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself.
and you have to do it lot of hours, apply yourself so that you can break this magnetic self to a magnet self. Once you reach the magnetic self you can get whatever you want. That's why I called you here in these holidays. I know if I had not called you, you would have gone, had a good time but that good time is just according to you. I want you to have good time beyond you. Because one day we have to drop this body and we have to go beyond, it's better we know beyond now.
Lot of people love me, they even do not know what love is, it's a very simple thing. Love is experience of oneself within oneself. And those who do not know themself, they have no experience about themself, how can they give you any experience. How can a empty glass of water can quench your thirst? Yes, you are afraid to be alone, I agree, you are afraid to be rejected I agree, you are afraid, afraid, afraid, there is a long list. Why you are worried? You are not you, why you care. So for God sake, this is the time to prepare for your career, then there will be another years, when you will choose the career; then there will be few more years when you have to achieve the specialty. All that to achieve you need a character so that you can cover every characteristic of life. Understand?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: Life is not a game folks. Don't play it as a game, play it real, you will become real. You all have the chance and you all can make it. Why? I made it.
You don't understand, sometime I wonder what people do to me morning seven a.m. to eleven p.m. you can't even count, it goes on and on and on. I don't know, I can't say it, (?) it is already is going on, what will happen to me, I am dying inside, I am living outside, I am seeing things. Oh wait a minute, all that is okay, just be you.
Somebody called me on the telephone, "I am dreadful."
I never heard that dreadful thing.
I said, "How dreadful?"
"Very afraid, I am shaking, I am shivering, I am this, that," "Okay, what should I do now?"
I said, "Go, hurry up and fill up the bathtub."
So I thought the bathtub filling will take about fifteen, twenty minutes. I was on the speaker phone; "Bathtub is full, what should I do know?"
I said, "Look into the water."
"I am looking, nothing is happening."
I said, "Then get into the water."
"I am in the water."
I said, "Put your head down into the water."
Then voice came, "I (?)."
I said, "Come up. What happen?"
"I was drowning."
I said, "I didn't ask you to drown, I said put your head into the water, did I say drown?
"No."
I said, "Just obey, put your head again in the water," and I looked at my watch and it started (?) started the sound on the speaker, I said, "Up now."
"Oh."
I said, "You are dreadful now?"
He said, "No, no I am fine, I am fine."
(Student's laughter)
Because going into the water was more dreadful than dreadful the drama he was playing, you understand what I mean?
So sometime you do not value your blessings and you miss your bliss and you also miss your bounties because you complain too much. Please learn to deserve, never desire. Desire is very sophisticated begging which God curse is. Just deserve; just deserve; let thing comes to you, there will be forever, you understand?
Students: Yes sir.
YB: We are going to do one little experiment, then I'll let you go.
Put your hand here and move it, right hand just move it fast like a watch, fast, look at the tip of your nose, look at the tip of your nose and move the right hand fast, as you wish like a watch, create a rhythm, you are controlling your five tattvasTattvas
A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. The final five tattvas are called the gross elements and have the phasic qualities and relationships of ether, air, fire, water, and earth.

first time but take the optical nerve between two eyes, look at the tip of the nose, keep it fixed, don't stop. It's a very simple meditationMeditation
Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself.
. Fast, fast, now you stop you are getting weaker, some of you not interested.
Now use your will, use your ego, all those fingers back and forth, look at the tip of your nose and move them, it is a very simple thing, it is not very difficult. Don't start relaxing. Keep moving. Okay the hand which is moving take it up straight and start other hand moving. Yeah, one down, keep that up straight, all antennas up, totally wide open, let the energy come in. Move other hand, don't worry, you will be miserable soon, I know. Come on, keep that hand up, you won't be in a position to keep it because the flow of the energy is heavier than your own physical. Come on keep it up straight, straight, hey, straight is straight, perpendicular, move the other hand, move it fast, it's very sexy, keep going. Oh, yeah, yeah, think of the beautiful girls and beautiful boys you have... Think anything abnormal, obnoxious and sexual and sensual, try it; anything pornographic will work.
(Student's laughter)
Oh, yeah, yeah, I am, I am not joking, anything pornographic or play magazine will do.
Come on, come on, see what it does to you, don't worry what he is doing. If you keep your five fingers open and wide and hands straight, move the other five fingers in the regular form, don't worry about it, think anything pornographic but look your eyes at the tip of your nose, you will cleanse your dirt so fast, you have never seen that, come on, get going, put your both hands on your heart center please, breath of fireBreath of Fire
Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins.

is one thing you can burn out all your negativity and your bad KarmaKarma
